Canada another? before purchase

Hi...Thinking about a 50inch 800 and would like to know if power steering is worth it..I have a bad shoulder and find cranking the handle bars on my atv and snowmobile can be discomforting thought maybe power steering is the way to go. If anyone has any knowledge of the power steering model would appreciate hearing from you......THANKS

Re: another? before purchase

I've heard it is nice but not worth the money. I had a sportsman 800 before my rzr and there were lots of times I found it very difficult to crank the bars when going slow. 2 years with my rzr I'm not to sure I've ever had an issue. My 2 cents is to spend that extra money on some other accessories or upgrad to the S.

Re: another? before purchase

Turning the handle bars on an ATV is much harder on you than steering a 50" RZR. I didn't realize until after I had my RZR for a while and got back on my Suzuki Vinson 500, it gave me a workout and was gone not long after. EPS is even better, but probably not a must have on a standard RZR.

I added it onto my 2008 800, and it's the best add-on I have. I'll never have another rzr that doesn't have it, and advise anyone thinking of buying, to either get it from the factory, or add it yourself right away. I found that it was easy to add on myself. Just my .02.

08 rzr 800, ,hid's, trail armor steering stabilizer, Warn 3000 winch, dragon fire seat belts, Rubberdown 2 inch lift, regulator relocate kit , custom CNC full underbody UHMW skid plate, ATR Odyssey 925 battery kit, ATR power steering kit, ATR steering bearing kit, Meineke car muffler, DFR Cyclone Race filter, Trail Armor Heat shields, dust seal kits, gas pedal, ITp SS12 14 inch wheels and Terracross 26's.

Re: another? before purchase

Well apparently I was wrong. Guess I don't know what I'm missing. I thought I was getting soft Goin from a quad to a rzr but now power steering might be pushing it haha now I have to find someone around my area who has it so I can try.

Re: another? before purchase

Try it and you will buy it.
It's not that it's just easier to steer, it reduces the feedback that can beat up your hands and thumbs.

Re: another? before purchase

I have P/S on my 2012 LE and can say when you are in tight spots and have to back, up go forward, back up, go forward, it is done very easily, no need for pulling hand over hand like the guy in the Rhino. Also I have yet to have the wheel whip out of my hand when the bike hits ruts, unlike the guy in the Commander who almost had his wrist broke when the cross of his steering wheel struck him on the hand. On open trails probably not much in the difference.

I had full intention on buying a new 570 recently, and the power steering on the 800 was the biggest reason I ended up with the 800 instead. I didn't think I would need it, but after having it, I wouldn't go back.

Nice to have but not require. If you have the extra $$$ you may as well go for it !

Re: another? before purchase

PS= Worth It. People who don't have it and ride in mine and then jump back into theirs start cussing their steering immediately, especially after steering with one hand/finger in the rocks and ruts.

I compare it to having full hydro steering on a big crawler or having some bs push pull steering setup. Cheap asses may not have full hydro but you can bet your ass their arms are sore after a day of riding while I have turned the wheel with my finger the whole day regardless of where I am at.

That's why I like it. Plus I never have to put down my beverage no matter how rough it gets. If it is sitting in my garage I will turn the key on to use the PS if i need the wheels turned. It spoils you. Definitely worth the few extra bucks. I wasn't going to get it but my wife wanted it, glad she was with me.
