Re: Orange madness went for a swim! NEED HELP!

If you didnt get it that deep and didnt see anything in the trans or diff . i would just drain and refill them i doubt seriously that any water got in them if you didnt get any in your cvt. Drain the engine oil refill with any regular engine oil. Make sure there is no water in your gas tank.A few drops of any oil in the cylinders will be fine. with the plugs out spin it over a few times. replace plugs and start engine . Only run it for a minute or so. drain oil and inspect it. If it shows any indication of milkyness refill with regular oil and start again. If the oil was ver milky start and run another minute. Drain and inspect. If it is only slightly milky run a couple of minutes then drain. Its nearly impossible to get it all out. A very small amount will evoporate with heat but try to get it all. After it looks clean drain and refill with polaris oil and ride it for awhile. maybe 30 minutes or so. Drain and inspect. Should look perfect. Drain change filter and refill should be go from there. I have seen many drain refill and go. I'm not that brave.better to be over cautious.

Re: Orange madness went for a swim! NEED HELP!

I did have a small amount of water in my cvt cover, and when.I drained engine oil and transmission/transfer case it seemed to have very little to no oil in it! I'm more concerned about the water that's gotten into my cylinders, I cranked it a few times with plugs out and hot out what I could and have had my furnace on for two days aswell as a dehumidifier going! I'm going to try a few flushes of engine oil, flush and replace transmission /transfer case and hopefully try and start when I think all water is gone out of cylinder area!

This is perfect example of what you should do. Follow this guide and you will be riding again in no time.

Once again I'm on my phone instead of riding!!!

Re: Orange madness went for a swim! NEED HELP!

Actually waiting is worse than getting it started asap. If there is moisture in the cylinders it will start to rust. Need to get it running or at least spin it over a few times. Dont let it sit too long with the plugs out. You need lubrication in the cylinders . I have seen several totally drowned with everything full of water, even the gas tank. Drained and flushed good and on their way. Hopefully it didnt hygralock and bend a valve or damage a rod or piston. You'll know soon enough. It can happen but usually theyre ok as long as there wasnt alot of water you should be fine.
