Re: Music/Systems

no specs....how big are those speakers?
hardest part of making a decent system in a rzr is the bottem end. Open air and a roaring motor makes things difficult. Only way to do it requires lots and lots of watts, and large diameter speakers. simply no room.........my opinion. I like my music loud and clean. I just dont think it can be done in a rzr. You could probably have an ok system for the times when the motor is not running, but it would never sound as good as good ear buds.

Re: Music/Systems

Search KAOS ATV! I had him build a custom roof for my wife's RZR with 8 wet sound speakers lined with LED lights that "dance" to the beat of the music with 4 red and blue stobe lights. He is also on face book. Very trust worthy guy. He has a stock cage that he uses to build them. He met me at an atv park and it fit like a glove.

Re: Music/Systems

Search for offroad sound systems on Facebook. He is out of Shreveport LA and does great work. I've got two wake tower speakers and they are perfectly clear and plenty loud. iPod hooks right to the amp and plays all my music. If you can't find him on Facebook, find S3 Powersports. He does all their builds. I've heard many of his systems and have yet to hear anything better.

Re: Music/Systems

I had the vdp in my rhino very happy with it. I picked up a kolpin on ebay for my rzr "universal fit" for $77 shipped and sells for over $500. It sounds great cheap and has EVERYTHING. You just have to watch for a good deal and grab it. Or Craigslist find a cheap auto unit and install it with a marine mount, high enough so it doesnt get wet. I have seen a lot of sweet set ups on here that people have made

Re: Music/Systems

If you are looking for a cheap waterproof way to get some tunes in your ride like me, then the "Cooter Brown" stereo on EMP's website is the way to go. I really wanted the SSV Works set-up, but couldn't afford $550 when I have so many other goods I want to buy for my ride as well. I went with the "no radio" model and you get what you pay for. I was kinda expecting at least some wiring in this set-up, but all that comes with it is a water proof box and faceplate with two 6" speakers. I finally finished wiring it up this morning and I believe im pretty pleased with it for what I have put in. All in all I spent about $320 that is the price for the speaker box, new Pioneer head unit, water proof switch for the dash, and some wire and connectors. Ill post pics later on if I remember.
