Re: Harness's

I am looking at the Pro Armor 2" - Is there any negative to the 2" over the 3"?
Mostly trail riding but want to replace the factory belt - its killing my shoulder.

Re: Harness's

You'll love the Pro Armor Harnesses I ran one in my 800RZR and will be installing one soon in my 900XP once the aftermarket seats arrive. I believe the 3" harness are more comfortable on bumpy rides.

I originally went with the 2" because I figured that the 3" would be to bulky and cause rubbing issues around the neck. what I found was that with the 2" it was too thin and they started cutting into my shoulder during long or bumpy rides. They were also a pain to adjust. The 3" are just more comfortable with the wider straps and they adjust so much better. Keep in mind that I have only worn these 2 brands 2"- DJ safety, and 3"- UtvInc. I can't speak of other brands so ymmv.

Re: Harness's

I use UTV inc and they are great, and very comfy. Wish they had a pocket. UTV inc sells some strap minders to help with them sliding apart on stock seats too.

One suggestion, I would get a 5 pt no matter what harness you purchase. The sub belt is additional safety PLUS it keeps the lap belt from riding up when you tighten the shoulder straps. I'm a tall guy and HATED how the belt would tend to ride up my stomach. You can always add the sub belt later on, they are cheap and any brand should work as long as it's compatible with the latch.

Anyhow, just my opinion!
He's right. You don't hear it talked about much and i don't know why. The 5th point is important in keeping that lap belt over the hips. You don't want the lap belt over your stomach during a hard frontal hit. Too much risk of internal injuries. I went with the pro armor 2" 5pt. I like them cause the shoulder harnesses are sewed to the lap belt. Makes it less hassle to put it on and the 5th pt takes no time at all to attach. I just did a 140mi round trip in a day and i wasn't sore or rubbed raw at all...

Keep an eye out cuz I'm pretty sure UtvInc is going to have a add-on Velcro pocket available soon.

Re: Harness's

You simply can't do better than the 3" ProArmor 5-points with the shoulder-straps sewn to the lap-belt. They're beautifully built and come standard with the shoulder pads and the sewn-in pockets. They are extremely comfortable. Anything else is second or third best, IMO.

Cheers
