Lucky, hope you feel better soon. Don't know where you placed the stands, but for sure under the control arms isn't safe. Ask me how I know!

Thanks everyone, I'm feeling pretty good just waiting for an appointment with a plastic surgeon on Thursday morning to see what there going to do with my right orbital bone.

I was putting a hitch on the XP and dropped the two nuts for lower radius arms in between the rear part of welded on skid plate and the rear diff. I had jack stands on both sides and had just removed a motorcycle stand from the rear center to get to the nuts. Not sure how the XP moved, but it slide to the right and as it was falling grabbed my glasses and jammed them into my right cheek/orbital bones and made a nice gash below my right eye. As I was rolling away one of the radius arms came down on the back of my head and opened it up pretty good.

My right eye is fine and Hopefully get all of the stitches and staples out this week. Could have a heck of a lot worse.

Glad you're going to be ok. Hopefully, we can all take lesson away from this!
Prayers and good luck as you continue to recover.

Re: Get well soon GPR721 Brian

Whew! Glad it wasn't worse! Good luck healing up.

As always posts like this are an opportunity to save others pain and suffering or worse...Frame only for stands also if the frame rail isnt flat, such as at the back of the XP place the stand near a cross brace on the low side so if it tries to slide the brace stops it. After initial placement give it a decent shake before getting under to make sure it stable..

Re: Get well soon GPR721 Brian

Get well soon Brian. Hope nothing in your eye was damaged.

BTW, when I want my RZR off the floor to do maintenance....I leave the wheels on, jack up one end at a time and set each tire on top of a concrete block...what we used to call a cinder block. When its on all four blocks, engage the parking brake or use a long clamp between the steering wheel and brake pedal to engage the brakes.

I just don't trust four jackstands.

Oh, if I have to take wheels off, I stack two cinder blocks, one atop the other, under each of the four corners of the frame, behind the front wheels and in front of the rear wheels.

We all have to live in a "culture of safety"...take no chances, check three times...and if at all possible have another person on hand.

Hope all goes well in your recovery Brian!
