Anyone riding Pocahontas this weekend ?

Just checking to see who will be riding Pocahontas or nearby this next weekend ? We are doing a ride on Saturday from our place. We should be leaving around 10-10:30 if anyone wants to ride.

Good Question! Are we able to get to the new system by road or trail from the wagon wheel area? I don't want to ride 52 all the way there on the machine.....

Re: Anyone riding Pocahontas this weekend ?

Wow looks like the connector trail to Indian Ridge is only 2 miles long. I knew these two trails was close but didnt expect it too be that close. Thats really going to add to the pocahontas trial appeal. Got a chance to ride Indian Ridge last friday and was impressed with the trails. They seem to hold water well with some cool slick spots that make the trails a lot of fun. Sure hope pocahontas has more of the same

Re: Anyone riding Pocahontas this weekend ?

The connector from Indian Ridge to Pocahontas is Windmill Gap Road. Its a twisty dirt road that will tempt many riders to go fast. BE CAREFUL! There are several curves where you could lose control and it's a long way to the bottom. Don't worry about the little black dog....he doesn't bite. We rode Poca last Friday afternoon. Lots of puddles and fresh dirt. It's definitely different from Indian Ridge, which is mostly hard packed and rocky. Enjoy!
