Re: What is the purpose of doors?

Good question. My two cents...not a huge benefit here in the desert. In the early days with the rhino...doors were added to keep people from sticking their legs out in a simple rollover...a lot of broken legs back then. That's why Yamaha added factory doors on recall after lawsuits. Today's rigs have nets and sunken floorboards that keep you from sticking your leg out. So mostly they are aesthetic with a few other minor benefits like some of the guys have pointed out. Most I would personally do is half doors only that you could step over to get in/out. Again...my opinion.

Was trail riding last weekend with my leg resting against the inside of the door when I kicked up a broken end of a large stick. It hit the door hard enough that it really stung on my leg through the door. With no door I could only imaging, could have likely cut my leg.

Doors look good and are very successful in taking $600-1000 of your hard earned money out of your bank account.

Your imagination is running away with you. Nothing like that could would should or ever happened. kinda funny tho

Re: What is the purpose of doors?

Well at Glamis they add more area for the RZR to stay on top of the sand. When one of my buddy's rolled it at Glamis it was real soft. The right side of his RZR sunk into the sand so far the right side seat was half way under the sand. If someone would have been in that seat it would have been bad.

I also had a bad habit of my left leg hanging out side the RZR when I drove. Door stop that.

Yes a imagination funny for sure! But, don't think it cannot happen. I have had Snakes Flipped up into my lap a few times over the years racing Off Road Cross Country.

Re: What is the purpose of doors?

Doors are the best, ride in someones SxS that has them and decide for yourself. Personally when I buy my next SxS they will be my first add on. PRO AMRMOR all the way.
