Walker Evans or RZR S?

Looking for input from trail riders. I currently own a 2010 RZR LE, looking to upgrade. Was curious if the walker Evans was worth the money? I like the stance of the S model but wasn't sure if it would be as good for the trails. I mostly take it checking irrigation, or running around the farm, but love heading to the mountains for the weekend.

Thanks

Re: Walker Evans or RZR S?

In my opinion, I would go with an S. I bought my 09 standard and rode it stock for 2000 miles. I then bought the SuperATV +5 kit to make it as wide as an S. WOW, what a difference. I should have gone with an S from the beginning lol. If you are in tight quarters most the time riding, I would look into the Walker Evans. If not, I would go with the S in a heart beat. Just my opinion though. Good Luck!
Thanks
Thom

Re: Walker Evans or RZR S?

I just picked up a 2012 rzr s le and love it. I was in between the standard and s, as 90% of my riding is trails up in the Rocky mountains. The better suspension and handling is what swayed me to go for the s. As well as seeing a lot of people upgrading to the +5 super atv kit anyways.

Re: Walker Evans or RZR S?

I love my WE rzr. Rides great and I can bend it around the trails with no problem. Plus it has the color scheme I've always wanted in a rzr. Just my $.02.

Re: Walker Evans or RZR S?

Thanks for the replies guys. Raizinhell do you think there's many places you ride that an S model couldn't fit through? Seems like most of the ones that were to tight for an S were to tight for the 50" anyway. Anybody driven both the WE and the S?

Re: Walker Evans or RZR S?

I started with a std 800, bought and S, then and XP. I went back to the 50" becasue I ride more trails than anything, but I wanted the ride of an S. This WE definantly compares to the S as far as ride quality. As far as the S following me, I think it could but would have to slow down for the tight turns and passes between trees.

Re: Walker Evans or RZR S?

That's what I was looking for, I still really like the S, the wide stance would be great for jumpin terraces, but I think the WE sounds like the way to go. Only thing is they are pretty hard to find, not a whole lot of them out there.

Re: Walker Evans or RZR S?

I just got a 2012 w/e edition and it's wicked, tons of power and still only 50" wide so your not scratching the hel outta your ride, it's a blast and handles the bumps amazing, I'd def recommend trying one for yourself,

Re: Walker Evans or RZR S?

I have had both, 2 standard RZR and now a 2012 S LE and the only thing I regret is not making RZR #2 a S. Even in tight woods I figure it out and it's not that big a deal. I love it and find the upside far out weigh the downside.

Re: Walker Evans or RZR S?

I have ridden both. My buddy bought the Walker model last year and I bought an "S". He said it was impossible to keep up to me on the whoops and rough terrain. In the mud holes he was definately stuck more than mine. Of course the S has bigger tires and can straddle the holes better. Way plusher ride in the "S" LE. In the trees he could move around faster than me but that was only once in a while. He has since then sold his WE to me and I have converted it to an "S" He went out and bought a new "S" and is loving it. Those stock WE shocks sold instantly.
