Bought a standard 50" base model (need 50" on most trails in MN) kinda wanted an LE but glad I didn't as I have replaced almost everything anyway. Hahaha

This first one I rode in was an xp , then before I bought my s I borrowed my brother T Rex for a day . I love the s but I've only been on one ride , hopefully it will continue to impress .

Re: How many would have bought something else?

I have no use for anything over 50" so I guess if Polaris had not come out with it I would probably bought a new Sportsman 850 with EPS.

Sorry guys... I didn't include a "I'm happy with what I bought" because honestly, I didn't know anyone left it stock...lol.

Re: How many would have bought something else?

i rode a 2011 rzr s all last summer and almost bought one. i heard they were coming out with the XP. sold my grizz 700 to get some extra dough and did it right the first time. i wasnt going to settle on an 800 when i knew i would always regret not getting the 900. last month picked up my xp9 LE and i love it and it suits all my needs!

Re: How many would have bought something else?

I looked hard at the Commander but decided against it due to the 50" trails and the lack of dunes in SC. That eliminated the S and XP as well as any other SXS out there. I ended up with a STD 800 50". I do see the need for better suspension so springs (someone should start a thread about springs... JK!!! lol) are on the to-do list along with brush guards and a skid plate. But for the riding I do I really don't have the NEED for a lot more. Would I LIKE more... oh yeah! I'm not a huge fan of the steel wheels lol.
I was looking at this and the Sportsman 850 Touring and liked the roll bar and seat belts more and more. And although there's plenty to be said for upgrading those, for the riding I do they should be fine.
To make a short story long: I'm very pleased with what I ended up with, it just needs a few tweaks to get it more trailworthy.

Look at it this way: I went from a 2000 Arctic Cat 250 2X4 to this. Yep, I'm impressed....

Just a newb's perspective

Re: How many would have bought something else?

Last summer. I was selling my brute force and looking at a can-am 800 or 850xp for my next ATV. While on a ride I jumped on my friends RZR S and was amazed at the ride. I bought a S and the wife loves it. For deep snorkel riding and some trail riding I do in south miss, I love it.
