Re: How many would have bought something else?

I coulde'nt say weather I would like anything else out there other than what I have (11RZR 4). Because I have'nt driven or ridden any other mod. I do wish the xp 4 was an option at the time I purchased my rzr 4. I very much enjoy the rzr 4 that I have, its (awhsome).

As for itsruf pole: Did I choose the right women? I did...... untill she PISSES me off!!!!

X2. I'm really happy with my choice of the S for riding the trails in northern MI. There are not many width restrictions here like there are down state. If my job ever transfers me to a place with restrictions I might change my mind. I do think about that once in awhile.

I bought a 50 std. I looked at the s and the xp, and money wise and also seeing that i could convert it to an s for half of what polaris was charging to do it. Practicallity kicked in and we bought the s. plus my wife disnt want anything to wide because she doesnt like having to turn around on a hill or anything, if we couldnt make it up the trail. Im very satisfied with what i bought. The only thing i believe i would change is getting a set of wheel spacers to maybe give me some width. Or just saving and doing the s conversion. I am very happy with my purchase though!!!!!!

Re: How many would have bought something else?

Like riding mountain trails, never been in sand, don't know that I will. So my RZR std was the way to go. I think maybe 20% of the machine is still stock...but very pleased with what I have!

Re: How many would have bought something else?

I bought the 50" because of the trail width where i live, but wish i had done some research into the different 50" models that are available.Would have bought a Walker Evans edition had i known they existed, the dealer was more interested in selling what he had than ordering in one.

Re: How many would have bought something else?

I bought an 800 S because its what I could afford, and in NYS up until recently you couldnt register 900xp so I didnt want to worry about getting a ticket on the trails, but now they changed that law, kinda wish I woulda just bought the 900xp but oh well. I still love my 800 and its fun to drive, thats what its all about

No offense Mark is a nice guy but I purchased what I want. I thought about it first.

Today I got a Whopper Cheese. Didn't drive down the road wondering why I got the diet salad.

I was in my GM 6.2L. Wasn't wondering why I got a Hemi. (With far less HP)

I got an XP. Not a 570.

Poll would be more interesting if it were about did you choose the right woman.

I think you missed the point...

Hereís an example. I bought a Commander but realized it was too wide. (not to mention mechanical issues)

So I bought a standard rzr. I was absolutely happy.... that was, until I did a lot of riding with guys from another group.

Me personally, I ended up widening the suspension, changing shocks, etc, etc... point is. I was trying to see how many people bought say a standard, and kept it that way. (works both ways, Iíve seen people take an S and narrow the suspension.)

And then last but not least, Iím curious how many people bought say an S only because there was nothing else comparable. I love my Polaris but if Yamaha came out with a sport UTV, Iíd be all over it.

Make sense?

Mark

PS. Was the burger any good?

Re: How many would have bought something else?

I thought I needed an XP cuz everyone said I'd be sorry if I dont buy it.
I bought the best I could afford and that was the 2012 S-LE. I couldnt be happier. It's everything my wife and I need. Great ride and suspension and definitly fast enough for us. Goes through the dunes awesome and we have the time of our lives. No mods yet. Only planning new seat belts, light bar and a nice stereo....famous last words right?

Re: How many would have bought something else?

I started out with a 50 RZR until I rode in an S out on the trail. I traded mine within a month for an S. A month later the XP xame out. I rode in that 7 months later and concluded my S was fine for the tight woods we have here. I dont want to be any wider. I do wish I could justify going to an XP but I cant when I have over 10K in mods. What would make me rethink it is if the S comes in an ProStar version which I sure they will go to at some point. But restarting all the mods all over again... not sure I want to do that all again yet! Besides my S's mods are perfect right now, except for maybe some extra ground clearance. But that XP is always in the back of mind, haha...

Re: How many would have bought something else?

It took me 4 years to be able to get in a position where I could afford a sxs. Had alot of time to research and compare and ended up with my 2011 RZR S and couldn't be happier , no regrets at all.

My brother has a Ranger XP, there's definitely days when I wish I had one. He puts a Jeep YJ seat in the back with removable cage extensions, and still has tons of room for junk.

To the OP: When I bought my Rzr there was nothing on the market that could even touch it. So I don't really wish I bought something else. The mods and extras it has now make it pretty cool IMO. I am waiting a couple, maybe three more years as I expect big things to come from various manufacturers. I feel that there still isn't anything THAT much better than my machine right now for what I use it for. The next big wave of technology will hopefully change that. Even then, I'll most likely keep my current Rzr and just add to the collection.

2010 S , a few goodies.

Re: How many would have bought something else?

Our situation kind of fell into place or I'd say we were set up by the dealer. I went in to buy a utility 4 wheelr and ended up with a RZR Std. 50". I was doing the deal with the salesman and my wife was sitting in a RZR, next thing the roll up door goes up and out she goes for a test run, alone! She comes back with the "I DON'T WANT A 4 WHEELER ANYMORE" comment. The rest is history! We are now on our 2nd 50" RZR and it has spacers and wheels and just about every needed ad on.
Next will most likely be a RZR's or an XP........
