Idaho flag Let them drive?

Ok so here is the big question, do you let family or friends drive your Rzr? If so under what understanding?

Re: Let them drive?

I voted yes, although now that I think about it should have said maybe. It all depends on who they are and how they treat their equipment.

Re: Let them drive?

I answered yes, but I guess I will say that we all have an understanding that if you break it you fix it and you do it quickly and correctly. We have rode together in rockcrawlers for years so safety is #1 priority so harnesses/belts will be worn at all times etc..

Re: Let them drive?

Maybe, my wife is covered on the insurance. Any of my riding buddies who have there own RZR's, at least they're a little familiar with what it's like and I know there skill level. Nobody takes it on the trail but me though, test rides are for straight roads and open flat fields and no DONUTS!!!

Re: Let them drive?

Not usually. Most of my friends can't control their money so usually they can't afford to fix it and I don't want an insurance claim because of some fool.

My parents are more than welcome to it until they get theirsZ

14 scrambler 1000, 28 mega mayhems on 14" sixr wheels, qsc clutched on hardest setting
14 Ace, 26" pro comp extremes on 14" msa m17 elixer wheels, total blast!
And a 600rwhp 03 powerstroke on 37" mud grapplers to haul it all
13 fx4 a/p on 35"grapplers, 6.2l

Re: Let them drive?

My sons and their wives, yes. If they will turn me loose in their Mustang and Z06, who the heck am to whine about a RZR. My friends don't ask but i have offered it to one guy I work with who was wanting to buy one. That was all done in front of me.
When it all boils down, its a thing. Period. Things can be fixed and my kids both understand who gets to fix it if they break it. Once the turbo is done, that may change as far as wives go. Not because I'm afraid they'll break it but I don't want them getting hurt in it. Time will tell I guess.
I guess I'm different than most. I don't place the value of a toy above the memories of having fun as a family. Besides, if they total it out, I get to get a new one. Can't see the down side there.
Oh, and yes, I have it insured to the hilt.

2009 standard rzr, TSI Turbo with CP pistons, P/W crank by Crankworks, Team/MCX wide ratio clutch,+5 lt kit with 1.5"offset from SATV, Polaris hardtop, Fox Podiums, Promark 3000XT winch, RZR4 exhaust, UMP intake, ProArmor doors, Progressive springs from Makin trax, DFR fuel controller, Polaris "S" flares, HID 35 W headlight conversion.
2013 XP4 Walker Evans edition, PA doors, axle armor on all 4. Needle shock conversion, PRP seats, Double Down intake kit.
With enough thrust, pigs fly just fine!

Depends on what that "thing" is. The rzr, if it gets scratched or broken, I can fix it.

My Harley (or any of my motorcycles), absafreakinglutely not. Usually the ones that ask if they can ride it can't ride and if they drop my bike, I'm going to have to drop them.
