Re: Let them drive?

i will let others drive mine, besides i think i am the one who drives the craziest out of the people i know so i am the most likely to wreck. safer when they are behind the wheel...

Re: Let them drive?

I let people drive it. I just make it clear that it is expensive to fix and no donuts and to be careful. The thing about "you break it, you fix it" is that it's unenforceable and can ruin friendships. If you let somebody drive your stuff, you take what they give you (not much) and accept the loss. If you can't accept that, then just tell them you're sorry it's too costly a toy and damaged easily.

That's it... The showoff type and the need to prove they can "keep up". It's definitely that monkey type mentality that destroys machines and people. Dude is lucky he didn't wreck. I'd never let him drive it again. A simple citation of the previous show is enough to ban the fool.

I've let my boy who is 16 ride me around some , I think it's helping him learn some driving skills . The wife hates off roading with a passion , not sure why since she's always jumping curbs , and clearing out ditches on the side of the road with her soccer mom mobile ? Heck shed prol be pretty good at it .

Re: Let them drive?

I let my wife drive she controls my other type of ride and I won't get to do that if I said no other than that I have let a couple of friends drive it with the understanding you break it you own it and buy me a new one. They also have to have the ability to pay the bill. I'm sorry i'll pay you when I can does not cut it with me

Re: Let them drive?

I let my inlaws use my rzr at the lake lot area where there is a speed limit of 15km/h. They only barrow it to get wood and other smalls chores. I let my friends take it if I co-pilot, you never know it might make them want to buy their own.

Re: Let them drive?

Thats a really hard descision. Especially on long camping trips where i have to travel or 5-6 day riding trips where the machine might not be able to be fixed at camp and the trip is ruined. Usually if my machine breaks and can't be fixed i will just go home cause sitting at camp isn't real exciting to me.

The girlfreind has asked to drive it a few times and i have said no because 1 she can't afford to help fix it, 2 not mechanically inclined in the least bit to help fix it, 3 has no offroad experience, 4 i hate being a passenger. If i wreck it i can only be mad at myself and know i will have to fix it.

Re: Let them drive?

Saw a similar thread where a guy said he had a small sign in front of passenger seat that read "helmets and harnesses required, and if you have to ask, the answer is NO!" That pretty much sums it up for me. However, I do have a friend or two that I have offered to let drive and the wife is on the title so she drives whenever she wants.
