Dave when you get as old as me ,and you get a little arthritis in your fingers ,a softer / thicker wheel really helps on the long rides .jmho

Though I don’t have a steering wheel, that’s the exact reason I wear gloves.. it’s not just the grip but it doesn’t wear your hands out on a long trip. When we went to Windrock, we went on a 73 mile ride taking about 10 hours. That’s a long time to be holding onto a steering wheel that’s uncomfortable.

Re: What's wrong with the stock steering wheel?

Two questions:

1. There is a chart on the back of the Grant steering wheel boxes for which mounting kit to buy to fit various cars. Obviously the Polaris RZR is not included in that list. Which Grant mounting kit fits the RZR?

2. I have the EPS and the wheel turns really easily. I was looking into a quickener but nobody sells a bolt-up kit and I don't want to take it to a fab shop and have something custom cut/welded. Would I do well with a smaller diameter steering wheel? There's a decent one at my local auto parts store for $35 (plus $25 for the mounting kit).

most end up too close to the chest. With a little ingenuity and a little effort you can put it just about wherever you prefer. Mine ended up 3/4" closer.

Steering wheel is fake leather. They call it polyurethane but it is leather like and has some sponge to it. It has a molded edge yet glued up material too. Unless they put the wrong one in the box and I got the more expensive one. I didn't want leather in a RZR.
Makes a pretty good argument why to replace stock.
