does S&B particle intake add more intake noise?

I have a 2019 RZR 1000 XP 2 seater and really want to do the intake, but I am wondering if placing it right behind the passengers on the roll cage adds to a more annoying intake noise. I enjoy being able to hear my music and don't want a loud intake noise right behind my head. or is this more of a ram air intake and there isn't much intake noise?
thank you in Advance

You hear it in idle, but not while riding. I don’t find it annoying at all. I have it on upper back roof bar behind me.

It has a motor whine which is audible at idle speed/while sitting still, but hardly noticeable when moving (mine is mounted exactly where you're talking about - directly behind my head on the top bar of the roll cage).

It sounds like a vacuum cleaner. But I wear headsets and have the AlphaBass setup from Rugged so I can't hear it any way.

I have it right behind our rear window. It is loud and we do hear it. We so have a kill switch for when we are idling or have the key on.

I have mine mounted up just below the roof line (with a rear window.)
I can't hear it when riding.

the particle separator seems like a great way to help eliminate alot of dust from the air filter its quite a bit of money and just don't want to spend the money and then hate the noise I'm hearing from the motor

For how effective it is at what it does, I wouldn't care if I had to wear earplugs to keep from hearing it.

If most of your riding is sitting at a stop with your engine running and/or putting around at just off-idle speeds, it will be noticeable. Once you get up to any decent speed, the wind blast and engine noise is far louder than the S&B.

Just installed mine in between the two rear seats on the bar behind them..sounds like a vacume cleaner but once the motor is on it's barely noticeable...however worth every cent keeping you motor air filter clean

Re: does S&B particle intake add more intake noise?

I have both the SB separators for the motor and for the helmet pumper system mounted between the seats on my Turbo S 2-seat. Like the others said, at idle it is like having 2 hair-dryers running next to your head. But once running the grin on my face and the sound of the motor takes it all away. During a stop, speaking with others short of yelling is difficult without shutting down.

For how well it works? I had this on my 2016 Turbo and I ride So Cal dusty deserts. After using it for 2 years, I changed the paper Polaris air filter, only because I felt I should and felt guilty throwing it away, it was PURE & CLEAN. I was more concerned the paper might rot from age, not from dust.

Highly recommended.

were you able to find a switch for that or do you build a switch? not the best with electrical but can figure it out if needed to build a switch

I installed mine with a switch ordered off Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Pretty simple installation.

You can also order a switch from S&B that has their logo on it.

The fan is a little loud... however as others have stated... you don't notice it when riding.
