Should we have a Ride Command Sub forum?

I just purchased my first rig with Ride Command, and am...learning, as it were.
The Ride Command Website Polaris runs is pretty basic, and not a fountain of knowledge. The Polaris Customer Service people have actually been very nice, and try like heck to solve problems, but I get the feeling this system is in a constant state of flux, and the computer people at Polaris who build and tinker with RC might not be communicating very well with the people talking to actual customers.

I am doing my best to get up to speed on all of the updates, added features, features specific to each model year, etc, because our group has machines with different ride command systems. Assuming that these cars will talk to each other has proven to be a mistake.
It would seem to me to be a good idea if we could have a place to go with all of the RC information, where people could post problems and solutions, and advise each other of updates available to download, etc.

Just an idea...

And a great idea at that! Polaris has more and more machines out there with RC installed each year. Would be nice to find the related info all in one place instead of across the different machine forums as well as in the electrical section.

Re: Should we have a Ride Command Sub forum?

Thanks topgun, at least I ain't crazy...or maybe you are too LOL.
Last week I was looking for some info on the V2V antenna, and thought I'd found something no one had, and come to find out anothe rmember had done a very complete thread on the same topic...and it was in the stereo electrical area, if memory serves.
I think it makes sense, get all the info in one place.

Re: Should we have a Ride Command Sub forum?

I think ride command & sound systems should be a separate sub forum.
I have no interest in either, and they pollute the electrical sub forum.

Pollute? C’mon man. It is possible you might accidentally learn something. The way this market is you might have one next month. Ride Command Support always seems to be weak from Polaris.

I just got a RZR with ride command 7 button, and can use all the help I can get.

So keep me informed.

Re: Should we have a Ride Command Sub forum?

A separate forum for RC would be great! I have a few questions myself.
How do you save a ride in progress? Turn off the key and its gone, or try and pause the ride before you shut down and its still gone. Sometimes it tracks your ride other times it doesn't What does the bulls eye in the corner do when you press it or let it fill?

Been having trouble connecting to my phone. HTTP error. Bluetooth is fine.

Agree, I’m a new Ride Command owner and I find the manual issued by Polaris a little lacking. How about “Ride Command for Dummies”. I will say though that the GPS system saved my butt by finding my way back to the truck after a 10 mile trek with many crossing UTV trails and unmarked logging roads. Waypoints are your friend.... Worth the $1500 upgrade and I’ll eventually figure out all the nuances of the Ride Command offerings.

X2 , I’ve had my 19’ RC go out ever time I ride it, I heard unplugging the battery will make it come back on, and I haven’t done the upgrade yet, want to get that done this week
Be nice to have some things explained on how they work, and maybe some videos. thanks.

Re: Should we have a Ride Command Sub forum?

Probably should. Your number 1 concern should be finding any way possible to export and backup your rides and your waypoints because if you update the unit, you could be screwed. It tends to wipe the unit during the update.

Re: Should we have a Ride Command Sub forum?

Great idea! I want to know why Polaris has just forgotten about their original Ride Command in the 17s and 18s and moved on from us!
