Enclosed trailor for rzr1000

Ok guys looking to see if anyone on this forum is towing a 4 seat rzr with a 7x14 enclosed trailor? If so how tight is the fit. With or without a v nose. Looking to buy one asap

Re: Enclosed trailor for rzr1000

You know you have to climb over stuff to get in and out with that wide of a trailer. Get the wider one and can open the door and walk in and out.

Re: Enclosed trailor for rzr1000

I have an 8.5 wide and have plenty of space to get out and get around both sides to strap it down.

Only downside to a wider trailer is visibility if you don't already have wider tow mirrors.

I have 8.5’ wide as well. Wouldn’t want anything narrower.

Re: Enclosed trailor for rzr1000

From experience, get the trailer larger than what you think you need or most likely you will be buying another. Length is the first thing. Is 14' long enough? The 4 seat is over 12' with no bumpers. Figure the equipped machine + additional space for ease of tie down and some room for storage. 14' sounds pretty tight if you have bumpers. If you were to upgrade to a 4 seat Pro at some point, it will be an even longer machine. Same with a Can Am. And both are not stepped in on the sides as much as the XP1000 so getting in and out in a 7' trailer will be a lot harder. A few more $$ now for something a little bit larger is a heck of a lot cheaper than having to upgrade in a few years and spend thousands.

I had a 18' X 7' snowmobile trailer (so 23' with the V) and hauled a XP1000 and full sized utility quad. No issues with the width. It was tight but there is still about 8" on a side between the wall and tire. That said, I replaced it with a 102" wide car hauler so we could haul 2 RZRs. It is a lot nicer for moving around in the trailer but not truly necessary. Just depends on your situation, what you are comfortable towing.

Good luck!

Re: Enclosed trailor for rzr1000

7X14 is just enough, barely
No room for anything else
If i did it again I would go V nose and rv extended tongue but I only tow with my rv
8.5 wide is great but depends on what you're towing with
Make sure you get the extra height door opening

Seven feet is not enough. The door width is less. I am 66”-67” wide and barely fit between the cables for the door. The next one I get will be 8’ wide. I have a 7x19 v nose and a 17 xpt. It takes up a fair amount of space in there. We convert it to sleep in after the machine is out of it, so all of the camping stuff rides in there too.

8' would do. Forget about the 14'. 16'length.

They also make tow mirrors that snap right on to your existing mirrors for most trucks. I bought a set for a ram 1500 for fairly cheap and they work great.

i bought a 7X16 for my 4 seat turbo and have plenty of room to get out and walk out of trailer. I kinda hug the passenger side of trailer when im pulling in. If your 500lbs i can see you having a issue.

its loaded up now and i can take a few pictures for you if that would help you decide.

You must be one thin dude. Cannot count the times have watched people loading and unloading from a 7'. Sure something I do not want to struggle with when the 8.5 makes life so much easier.
