RMR or SUPER ATV XL fender flares

I've narrowed my purchase down to one of these two sets of flares. Just wanting some feedback on either or both from anyone who has them? More for the family to try and keep the snow and mud to a minimum. Thanks

Durability, style, do they work?

Re: RMR or SUPER ATV XL fender flares

I have been looking for a pair of these as well. SATV ones are $50 cheaper, but the fact that they install over the factory ones is weird to me. With that in consideration the RMR ones look more "angular". Have you considered the Polaris ones?

Re: RMR or SUPER ATV XL fender flares

I haven't looked recently but last I checked Polaris didn't make rears. I wish I had a way to see both in person but that's not an option. The RMR ones just look more plain from the picks but better quality. This is where I'm caught between the two.

Re: RMR or SUPER ATV XL fender flares

I have the RMR ones, work well for keeping majority of the mud out. Not all but a LOT more than factory 14 1k fenders. The downfall to them is fiberglass. So far they have been great for me. I have heard some folks say they aren't very tough. I can see how you could break them very easy....again so far so good for me after about a year and prob 800 miles or so. If Polaris made the plastic for the read like the front that would be the route I would go. If...they only make fronts still I might go with that and RMR for the rear. Not throwing off what so ever, I have really liked mine and glad I got them, worth it! Click image for larger version

Re: RMR or SUPER ATV XL fender flares

Love my rmr flares, but if I have to do it again I'd get Polaris xxl fronts and rmr rears. The fiberglass is a little weak for trail riding.

Re: RMR or SUPER ATV XL fender flares

I have the RMR and I cracked one of my front flares. I was coming down a steep hill on a rutted out trail and barely rubbed the hillside. I new they would be easy to crack as soon as I took them out of the box. I agree with infamoushack that the Polaris fronts would be a better option.

Re: RMR or SUPER ATV XL fender flares

Thanks for the input. I rub trees a lot where I ride. My stocks have gouging and even tears in them from the abuse. I definitely couldn't go with the RMR from what you all have said. I'm glad I asked before I bought.. now I hope someone chimes in on the super atvs.

Re: RMR or SUPER ATV XL fender flares

I just ordered the super atv after the info about the RMR. The SATV are made of the exact same material as stock so here we go... wish me luck!!!

Can you please upload pics once you have them installed? I've been considering the SuperATV set over the Rhys Millen Racing set. However 9 inch flares seem really wide. The website pics don't really give the visual you get from an actual user pic. Thanks.

Re: RMR or SUPER ATV XL fender flares

I just measured my polaris XL, and they measure 8" at the widest point at the top. It would be nice to have rears, can't wait to see these.

Both good but for the best looking I think the RMR's win!

RMR or SUPER ATV XL fender flares

I have the Polaris xxl in front and RMR's in rear. Warning that the RMR's aren't very bendable if you do tree hugging rides.Click image for larger version
