If I had to guess, I would say its due to shipping. Full skids are EXPENSIVE to ship due to Oversize.....

Thanks for the info. I ordered a 2011 RZR 800 LE with EPS, the 50 incher, with the Polaris front/rear brush guard. I plan to order the following from you -

RZR 3/8" Skid Plate (includes free fuel tank protector)---349.00
RZR-800 A-Arm Guards-----159.00
RZR-800 Rock Sliders-----129.00

I'd like you to confirm they will fit my 2011. Also will there be a way to let you know I'm a forum member to get the gas tank guard included ?

Thanks
Send me a PM with your info and I'll make sure everything gets taken care of.
Bob, Placed the order above with Eva. Got the forum discount and free fuel tank protector. She said she had the differences in the 2011 covered. Told her your explanation was the reason they're getting shipped right past EMP to NY.......Thanks

Re: Skids...Factory Utv or Cooter Brown?

Im up in the air here on what to order. I have a 2012 RZR S model, I live in NE Pennsylvania. I ride a lot of old railbed, logging and mining trails and brush blaze sometimes. The terrain around here can be pretty rocky to say the least, likesoftball to basketball sized rocks, to pointy rocks that jut out of the ground. Im worried about high speed impacts on the jutting type rock. Sooo my question is, what thickness would you recommend? will the 3/8" skids cut it, or should I go 1/2" for extra piece of mind? I had a set of pure polaris aluminum skids and had them whipped in about a month! Any help from you NE guys and FUTV would be greatly appreciated!

I ride in Pottsville PA area with tons of rocks and I use the full set of FUTV 1/2". I highly recommend them. They seem like they will stand behind their product too.

3/8 is tough as heck, but I'd go 1/2 based on your description of riding area. Worth the piece of mind in my opinion.

I have 1/2" FUTV skid and rock sliders, I figured for the price difference why not just get the heavy duty and have no worries. Less hassle and less kicking myself in the ass if something would ever happen if I had bought 3/8".

+1. You ride in Rocksylvania. Same as me. So I recommend going for the 1/2" for a couple hundred more.

Re: Skids...Factory Utv or Cooter Brown?

I made the mistake of buying a CB skid to save money. It was the biggest turd of a skid plate there is. The mounting holes didn't line up and the tapping screws I used started to back themselves out.
I then bought the 3/8 skid from FUTV and it was breeze to install. All the mounting holes lined up the factory ones, none of the bolts have backed out and it is wearing like iron.
Also customer service at EMP sucks and the people at FUTV are great.
This is just one mans opinion but if I had to it all over again I definitely would have gone with FUTV first and saved myself a lot time ,aggravation , and yes ,money.
