Check your PM's Chris, we want to see if we can help support your race efforts. Stock skids don't cut it for play riding let alone racing

Yes you will, you'll get a superior strength one piece skid plate that's actually been manufactured and molded to fit your RZR, not just a flat piece of plastic. We've seen the 2 piece UHMW skids come through the shop where the seam down the middle has separated and deformed, not good. You can request the pieces be machined to accept a bumper or go out wider onto your nerf bars and quite frankly the quality of workmanship is better. Kind of like comparing a chinese knockoff RZR to the real thing.

I can believe this. With my 1/2" plate, I have some fairly deep gouges from landing on rocks when riding high tension line access roads. If one of those rocks hit before the crease, flexes the front plate up, and then slides to the second plate, you could do a bit of damage.

Actually several years ago when we introduced UHMW skids to the RZR aftermarket we experimented with two piece main skids and promptly tore the back half off on the trail. Granted it was the Rubicon trail, but we decided then we wouldn't go down that road.

Wow, I had no idea that the others were not molded to fit bumpers. I also didn't know that they had a seam where as the FUTV skids are a solid piece.
I need to upgrade because I just had to take the rzr to fab shop and have them weld my case back together after a having a whole punched in it. I got a rock caught between the case and the factory skid plate and then bottomed out. Will the 3/8" be strong enough for desert riding and light rock crawling or should I up grade to the 1/2" ?

Any excuse to put the rzr in the dirt is a good one

Re: Skids...Factory Utv or Cooter Brown?

Bob,

Thanks for the info. I ordered a 2011 RZR 800 LE with EPS, the 50 incher, with the Polaris front/rear brush guard. I plan to order the following from you -

RZR 3/8" Skid Plate (includes free fuel tank protector)---349.00
RZR-800 A-Arm Guards-----159.00
RZR-800 Rock Sliders-----129.00

I'd like you to confirm they will fit my 2011. Also will there be a way to let you know I'm a forum member to get the gas tank guard included ?

Thanks

Re: Skids...Factory Utv or Cooter Brown?

Bob, I'm thinking about ordering the 3/8" skids... Will the shipping to Jackson, Ca be less expensive than shipping down to San Diego? Also, should I send a PM because I'm a forum member to be sure I get the gas tank guard as well?

Any excuse to put the rzr in the dirt is a good one
