08 Razor tranny problems?

Can some one PLEASE help me? The other day I was driving my razor about 40 mph when I heard a loud bang from what I thought was the motor. After that I had no tranny. The razor just rolled freely. It will shift using the shifter and at the tranny but nothing engages just rolls free. No leaks any where. Can someone please help with this? THANK YOU

Re: 08 Razor tranny problems?

The 2008 models were notorious for the input shaft snapping off inside the case, the guys over on the RZR800 nation are welding them up. We have tigged up Low gear in two of my friends because of similar issues. The 08 was the first design and there were a lot of bugs to work out, unfortunately the transmission was one of the weak links. I would check the belt first, then drain the transmission, remove the fill plug at the rear and you should be able to get a good look inside. If you have a camera you can very easily see the internals, they are very simple to disassemble/reassemble there isnt much to them. Wrestling them out is probably the biggest part of the job.
