Usa 800s reccomendations

So my sons birthday is coming up and I would like to get his rzr some upgrades. I was hoping you all could recommend some things that are not only fairly priced but of good quality and will not harm the rzr in any way for instance i know some bracket lift kits will mess up the axles.

2014 RZR S EPS LE EFI

1) lift kit
2) bigger tires for mud ( currently stock rims and maxxis tires)
3) doors or racing harness, can only afford 1 so which would be best to get first and can you recc a good brand
4) (most important to the kid) a stereo system, with blue tooth controller and maybe a phone charger built in or something, but definitely an overhead system with blue tooth.

I know everyone has opinions and its personal preference and that is what I am looking for because I am still new to this and so I have no experience with any of these items so I don't really know where to begin, I have been doing a lot of online research and I have narrowed it down to a few brands and types but Now I would like to see what experienced riders use and recommend.

Thanks in advance

Re: 800s reccomendations

In my opinion harnesses should be #1 on the list. I have Pro Armor. But any brand is better than the oem belts. As for a lift, I have RT Pro, formerly Racertech, no axle binding. If you go bigger on tires, then I'm gonna recommend a clutch kit. I only have experience with the Dalton, not cheap, but good quaility and adjustable. Call Todd at Hunterworks he can answer any questions you have on the Dalton kits. As for doors, none are very cheap, but I've read good things about the Tusk brand RMATV sells. And the stereo, you can go cheap or expensive just depends on what components you use. I have big loud stereos in all my personal vehicles, I used to build car audio systems for my friends as well. My wife though she would enjoy some tunes in the rzr so I pit together a simple cheap 4 speaker stereo, and it never gets listened to! So my advice is start cheap then upgrade if it gets used.

Re: 800s reccomendations

First items should be for safety 4 or 5 point harness then a good set of tusk doors

Re: 800s reccomendations

ok, so harness seems to be the #1 choice here so ill get that first, but he wants some cool factor things also, so the RT pro lift looks pretty easy??? I'm assuming that is a body lift? also can you run that with like some super atv arch a-arms or am I doing too much there?

P.S. pinion nut repair??? havent heard of this,

Re: 800s reccomendations

The Pinion nut uses nylon in the nut to lock it in place
The problem is this nyloc nut comes loose then the Pinion gear walks thru the ring gear and explodes out of the bottom of the rear differential case which locks up the rear differential now you can no longer move your rzr and your walking instead of riding
Just go to the rzr 800 section and search for Pinion nut lots of info and a video

Re: 800s reccomendations

Here is the pinion nut thread. https://www.rzrforums.net/rzr-800-spe...pullerguy.html
As for the RT PRO lift it a suspension lift. It moves the upper shock mounting points out so the shocks stand more vertical, giving you lift. And yes it will work with the Super ATV arms.

Re: 800s reccomendations

Lol, yes check the pinion nut - when it fails you will be out minimum $1300.
So yes harnesses first - go with 3" wide ones.
I initially had a RT 2" lift and ran 30" zillas, with plenty of power. Had some slight rub in front when jumping or articulated turns so upgraded to offset arms, and rhino axle.

Re: 800s reccomendations

Wow, watched the video, not sure that's something I want to undertake myself. I am pretty mechanically inclined I mean I do hvac, and electrical, plumbing etc... but I feel this is something I can easily screw Up? Plus can you buy that tool?

Re: 800s reccomendations

Pinion nut repair wasn't too bad to do, biggest "fun", was reaching some of the bolts.

Re: 800s reccomendations

Haha well this all sounds real fun and stressfull so i guess im going to make a weekend of it. Can you guys reccomend a good 5 point i can use. I see alot. Pro armor seems ok but it doesnt have some certification. Not sure if that matters. I definitely want to go with a lift, new cv, and stereo. And i guess while im doing the repair ill slap everything else on, hope i dont lose any bolts and screw it up. My uncle who is a mechanic always said if you dont wind up with extra nuts and bolts you didnt do it right... haha.

for harnesses...check out crow. plenty of options and the prices are reasonable (no rzr tax). they didnt just start making harnesses for utvs like other utv specific vendors, they have been supporting all kinds of racing for over 30 years

and you cant beat their customer service. give them a call with any issues or problems and a real person will answer.
