For the Michigan Street Legal crowd I have DOT Tire Question

Is anybody using the EXF Motogrip Tires for the street legal set. They are DOT Approved I just wondered if the police officer that inspected your RZR ask any questions or did they just look for the DOT stamp on the tire.

Thanks

Re: For the Michigan Street Legal crowd I have DOT Tire Question

Typically the LEO is only going to look for the DOT stamp. Some don't care/don't want to be bothered with these inspections but in case you get a hardass you need everything legit & obvious.

go with some cheap street tires in 14" form or some SuperSwamper DOT approved tires

STI Black Diamond XTR are DOT approved.

Can be had in 25" / 26" / or 27" in 12" or 14" rims.

They wear great and are a very good overall trail tire with good snow and mud performance as well.

Forum vendor ATV Outfiiters from South Carolina shot me a quote that I couldn't pass up.
Kit with, with the tires and wheels mounted, with valve stems, caps and lugs would be $778.00 shipped.
(4) STI Black Diamond XTR 27 x 9 x 14 tires
(4) STI HD2 4x156mm Rims 14"x7" matte Black with the 6" + 1" offset to maintain the Polaris RZR factory 50" width.

I cannot use the 11" wide rear tires as they rub on the RZR engine mount, so all must be the 27 x 9" x 14".

I used sti black diamond as well. The officer simply looked for the dot stamp.
