Gorilla Whips review no good

I had to deal with this company 2 times know I will say it's the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. Spend the extra money and get a quality whip.

Are those the whips filled with gel? Last dune trip I saw a side by side and a buggy snap them in the same place.

Those Poly-carbonate tube whips are known to fail. They tend to snap low just like yours. There are a few other brands out there, or just recycle your LED's and make your own. There are tons of threads on YouTube on how to do it with fiberglass CB Antennas. The Fiberglass ones tend to hold up better than the poly tubed ones. The down side is the LED's are not protected. There is one company that I saw that uses a combination of both. They take a fiberglass rod, and make the whip, then they slide that inside the poly tube. The fiberglass stiffens the whip while the poly protects the LED's. They are expensive tho. over $200 each. I also cannot remember who makes them.

Famous last words: "Dude, Watch this!"
I would love to live in a world where the chicken's motives for crossing the road are not questioned!

Re: Gorilla Whips review no good

That's crap! I bought a pair of Tribal Whips, and accidentally drove the Rzr into my toyhauler without removing them. Those suckers bent 90 degrees back, but popped right back with no visible signs of damage when I drove back out! Since there's only about four inches of clearance between my back drop down bed and the top of the Rzr, that was a significant bend!

Go Tribal! My only complaint with them was, I ordered red and they sent me blue....just kept them in the end.

Re: Gorilla Whips review no good

I also find their customer service something a bit of a disappointment. I purchased two whips for my RZR 1000 last September and had everything installed. They looked great and I was happy with how bright they were. First ride and within 15 minutes one of them snapped at the base. Nearly two months later I received a replacement and it did not work. I was told that a batch was sent out wired incorrectly and that I needed to return it for a replacement and they would make sure it works. I received my new one (in the middle of moving to a new state) and left it packaged. Here we are last week and I opened the package to try it out and nothing. I called customer service and they said check to see if it is reverse polarity and sure enough. But now I have a dual whip setup with plugs reversed. Rather than just own up to what happened and send new whips, I’ve been asked to take pictures of my plugs, etc. etc. At this point I am just going to chase the wires (after taking apart the rear bumper of the machine) and switch the polarity of one plug. In no way shape or form should I have to be doing this but I want what I bought to work. If either of them break or something happens then I will definitely just switch to a different product.

The lighted whips that UTVinc. sells are indestructable.

I have two tribal whips. I rolled my razor with them on and they didn't break. I had one go bad after awhile but they warrantied it with no problem. I will always use tribal whip.

Was very disappointed with Sick stick as well. Bought a pair of 5 ft. lighted units ran them twice, less than 4 hours on them, and then was down with an extended illness for a year.
When getting ready to get back to the sand I plugged them in and was surprised to see they were all screwed up.
I got no consideration whatsoever from the factory I called and told them that both LED strings had several LED's that had failed or looked like incandescent bulbs the next time I plugged them in. I was told they could rebuild them for me ($$) or sell me the new and improved versions for another $275.
No thanks.
I am searching and will buy a better product, or at least one where customer service matters.

Re: Gorilla Whips review no good

I drove into my trailer with the Tribal Whip on. It bent over 90* and kinked. I heated it up and straightened it out. Lasted a few more months. I stopped by Tribal whips and told them the story. It was totally my fault. They sold me one for cost.

2011 XP 900, Alba Racing Big Bore built motor with BoonDockers Turbo, HCR Long Travel, TMW race cage, Twisted Stitch suspension seats, Rigid LED lighting, and to many other things to list. Absolutely EPIC!!!!!!
