Whining transmission part 2

OK , i posted yesterday about my whining transmission and no replies, I understand cause I aint got no answer either. I have dealt with this for a year and sick to death of it, I am gunna pull the trigger and buy a complete transmission. anybody know of somewhere i can get a good deal looks like 3200 is where i am at on a new one. I know my HE has the gear reduction but if I put a regular xp 1000 trans in will it work? I am assuming the the front diff is geared the same in all of them, in other words, if I put a non gear reduction tranny the front and rear wont be different and cause the drive train to bind up. Thanks for any help! This situation sucks Bullwinkles cock LOL

Re: Whining transmission part 2

My only question is why not put another HL tranny in it, one day you will sell it and that person will think it is a HL and will find out it is just a XP with a high geared low range

Re: Whining transmission part 2

A regular XP trans will not work in a HL. The front gear ratio is different and will cause the diff to be locked into AWD even when not enabled.

Check https://www.facebook.com/azcyclepartsllc/ they have a lot of parts and you can usually find a low mileage trans in good shape.
