Motor Mounts

Just put the motor back in and while it was out I installed the aftermarket motor mounts. WOW, does this thing vibrate. These mounts are a lot stiffer than stock. Anybody else run into this problem?

Re: Motor Mounts

You notice it on hard ground, but on the sand you don't feel it.

Re: Motor Mounts

HPD aluminum motor mount inserts do not seem to vibrate any more than stock, but will keep the mount from moving too far.

Re: Motor Mounts

Here are some pics I took when I removed me HPD inserts and went to the Holz mounts........I ride sand mostly and I can't say I noticed any extra vibration for the engine after the swap out. Holz is a one piece mount

I was trying to take away some of the load on the header pipe where it meets the turbo because it ties to the frame.........plus the rear diff is so close to the frame.

Re: Motor Mounts

Did it still hit with the HPDs? I guess with the hp you have it would still flex?

Re: Motor Mounts

My rear diff was hitting the frame on hard riding and a bolt was hitting the head cover toward the front of the engine. After the inserts, it hasnt been an issue.
