Black Mountain 2/2019 Trip

This trip solidified my love for Black Mountain. It was the most fun I have ever had on a guy's trip. Black Mountain is such an awesome place to ride. I can't believe it took us so long to come back. That won't happen again. The first video is just some traveling footage and first night at the campfire. There will be lots of awesome riding footage from this one. Stay tuned!

Re: Black Mountain 2/2019 Trip

We are off! Day 1 was the coldest day by far. The high for the day was only 20. I was prepared though. I had a million layers on. Getting in the RZR and my seat belt on was a challenge. As soon as we pulled out of the campground I knew it was going to be a good day! In this video we leave the campground and do the connector trail (trail 48) to the main trailhead. Nothing too exciting but I wanted to document the main (and only) trail up the mountain from Harlan County Campground.

I have 4 words for you, "windshield and seat heaters!"! Lol! My wife and I probably wouldn't ride after November if we didn't have those 2 things.

Yeah I always run a heated seat pad when it is cold. Those things are a lifesaver. I hate windshields. I know they would help in the cold but I hate cleaning them and it makes the videos hard to see. I make a lot of sacrifices for these videos.

Full enclosure, heater, heated seats, and heated steering wheel. Wheeling comfortable no matter how cold. Plus the wife wouldn't come if she not comfortable and that would make my life tougher

I agree they get dirty too easy and are a pain to clean afterwards. And we appreciate your sacrifices! I know its gotta be rough riding all those hours and miles of awesome trails!!! Lol!

Re: Black Mountain 2/2019 Trip

If you are ever at Black Mountain and get hungry check out Corner Cafe in Evarts. It is a short 5 minute drive from trail 10. It is legal to ride in town in Evarts. The food was great. After eating went and did Pinball. It seemed to have gotten 10 times easier since our last trip. We were having a blast exploring the place.

We always go there for dinner, you should see there eyes when we have 12-15 for dinner at one time. Usually the last to order gets their food about the time the 1st to order is finishing their dinner

Quaint little place and decent food.

Will definitely be going there. I've subscribed to your YouTube channel, your vids are actually helping me plan a trip coming up at the end of April to royal blue, along with a ton of other great info from helpful members here. They're also swaying me to consider going from my 900S to a turbo, dammit lol! I see Sonny made the leap!
