Usa >>> AND The Fun Begins!!!

FOR IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE…

ONLY A FEW DAYS BEFORE THE FUN BEGINS

The PURE SIDE-X-SIDE OFF-ROAD DESERT SERIES, presented by SXSPerformance.com and AVE Racing festivities begin Saturday, April 6, with the “drawing” for starting positions for the PURE “200” set for April 19-21. Immediately following the drawing at Noon the “excursion” takes of from the start/finish, at 138th and Proctor, on the 50-mile tour of course, guided by AVE officials.

Participants, friends and crew are all invited to take a fun trip around one of the neatest race courses ever designed, which offers a multitude of terrain not found in most courses. To be sure, the course will take racers from deep sandy whoops to a couple of incredible climbs, especially going over the “Three Wicked Mamas” then on to the desert floor for some hard-packed, two-rail trails and onto the eastern canyon of the California City desert. Reaching the easternmost portion of the course, racers will double back through fast graded roads, more whoops, and culminating into one of the most dramatic finishing sections around the Buttes as the backdrop to the Alta Vista Ranch.

According to Lou Peralta, promoter of the PURE SERIES, “This is the first time ever we are going to use this course, although sections of it have been used before. We have a great variety of terrain and elevation that I know everyone will love. Definitely it will be a great change from what most racers are used to racing, here in the States. Certain sections look more like Baja then the U.S.”

The course will not have any markings but everyone is welcomed to bring their own GPS system to highlight sections of the race course for their use during competition. All entries will receive the "usr" file to use during the event, even if you do not attend the "Excursion."

To get into the “drawing” all it takes is sending your entry form via Fax (877.842.3052) or email it to: [email protected] and a $50 deposit to get you into the drawing. Then join the “excursion” starting at Noon on Saturday, April 6. Be sure to get your entry/deposit in no later than Friday, April 5 by 6 p.m.

The PURE SIDE-X-SIDE OFF-ROAD SERIES, Presented by SXSPerformance.com begins with the PURE "200" April 19-21. Go to Off-Road Racing - Dirt Racing DESERT RACING - Alta Vista Events - OFF-ROAD & DIRT RACING for additional details.

The “PURE” Series features a five-event schedule, starting with the “200” miler -- (four-laps, 50-mile each) romp in the deserts of California City, which is scheduled for April 19-21, 2013. Four more events follow with the “300,” “350,” “250,” and the “400”-miler to cap the first year of the series. This is the country’s first “Unique” ALL Side-X-Side Series, which features at least one lap in the daylight and the rest at nighttime.

A “special award” is also presented to those who complete every single mile of each event. Those who do will qualify for the “1.5K-KUP” the top award given at the end of the Series.

Friday, April 19, between Noon and 4 p.m. there is pre-running. On Saturday (20th), Tech Inspection, Contingency and late entries will take place before the 3 p.m. Competitor’s Meeting. The race starts promptly at 4 p.m.

Usa Re: >>> AND The Fun Begins!!!

We just cleaned up the start/finish (138th & Proctor) to make room for "vendors" and the "hot pits" and then we went around the 50-mile course and we think we have something special. If you can make it Saturday, April 6, at Noon, join us on the "excursion" around the course. Bring family and friends. This is NOT a pre-run but a chance to see the entire racecourse and enjoy some of the sections we've thrown at you. You're going to love this course. When you think of all the stuff we have to race elsewhere, courses that has been so overused, you won't believe this one!

Send your entry deposit by Friday, April 5 at 6 p.m. to be included in the drawing for starting positions.

See you Saturday.
