High Load/Angle Helix

Has anyone tried this helix? I purchased it (stage 3 kit from AA) for my 18 xp4 turbo with dynamix in hopes it will help with belt temp/life as advertised. Just wondering if there is anyone out there who has tried it and can give a first hand opinion. Let me know what you'all think. Thanks!

Re: High Load/Angle Helix

I just bought this setup too, S3 clutch kit with high load helix with a stage one tune but wont be able to try it out till our trip to the dunes in May. Curious how others have found it to be too.

Re: High Load/Angle Helix

I purchased the performance helix before they changed the recommendation for 4 seaters to use the high load helix, so I can't comment first hand on the high load helix. I have been very impressed with the performance helix, even with stock tuning. It drastically changes how hard the power comes in, you won't be disappointed.

Re: High Load/Angle Helix

I have a 16 xpt4 and upgraded to the performance helix and have ran level 2-6 E85. Iíve been using the same Polaris stock belt for the last year and all my riding is in the sand. The power and back shifting is great.

Well sad to report that my belt temps didn't change at all. Stayed the same or were worse. The clutch kit works fine but the high load helix did nothing for me. I will be contacting AA and discussing options, maybe stiffer secondary spring? Not impressed with the helix as of this last trip to the sand

Iím running the performance helix and AA stage 4 big turbo setup 235 motor hp and a hunterworks belt. I put a epi teal spring 182/260 vs aa 160/220 in the secondary and added more weight to the clutch arms my belt temp went from 230+ in a 1/4 mile run down to 190 it has absolutely no belt slip. 25 dollar fix.

High Load/Angle Helix

I just ordered a new set of springs. The new secondary is purple not sure what the rate is. My buddy just ordered the S3 kit and his clutch seems to apply the power better. Iím running the original S2 kit that I added the helix to when it came out. Iíll let you know what I think when I get them.
