Sadona Buzz Saw RT Radial Tires

I have been looking at the Sadona Buzz Saw RT Radial Tires, but haven't heard much about them. Just wondering if any forum members have had any experience with them, good, bad, our indifferent. It's time to retire the Bighorn's which have been a great tire, i'm just wanting something different, so I am looking for a good replacement radial tire to run on the XP. We ride most of the time in dry river beds which are for the most part, course sand, dirt, and some rocks. Any feedback I can get would be greatly appreciated.

No experience with the Buzz Saw's, but if they are anything like the Rip Saw's you wont like the ride. The sidewalls are so stiff I think air is optional.

Re: Sadona Buzz Saw RT Radial Tires

I had Sedona Mud Rebels for a short time. They wore out fast, and rode really rough on hard pack.

Retire the Bighorns off an '11 XP... Are they that shot already from sand and dirt? Bighorn is a great tire.

The XP is a little rough on tires, I wouldn't expect long tire life with any brand.

Re: Sadona Buzz Saw RT Radial Tires

Bighorns are a great tire there is still tread on them, I guess i'm retiring them to the shed for now, we went to a 14" wheel so now i'm looking for tires.

Now that would be an excellent reason There's some sweet tires out there. So many good choices.

Re: Sadona Buzz Saw RT Radial Tires

i have em on my ranger, super tuff tire, really thick side walls, smooth on pavement, they work better than big horns in soft terrain, im done giving maxxis all that money.

Sand, dirt and rocks, I would go with 26.5 Rockers.

Re: Sadona Buzz Saw RT Radial Tires

Bill, Check out Maxxis Ceros... They are mounted below on 15" wheels (Benchmark Performance XP). Always liked the looks of them, but no personal experience. Have heard a lot of good things about them in similar conditions to what you described. Worth a look I think.

Re: Sadona Buzz Saw RT Radial Tires

I had a set of 26" 12's on my 800 last year and ran them about 125 miles out in Colorado, but had to take them off to run the Piaute trail in Ut. They had plenty of grip but the rears ran short in height. 26x9's on the front and I think it was 26x10's on the rear. Good heavy side walls and in 6" wet snow they cleaned out well..Did really good on all trail conditions..If I did over again, I'd run the 9's all around..P
