Re: Wheel Offset

yeah but just backwards of what he said....5" is inside lip to mounting surface and 3" is how far it will stick out from flat of hub......4+4 would be a perfect centered 8" wheel.......oh and a 5+3 with 26" tires make you 55" wide in the rear....

Re: Wheel Offset

i get the 5+3 but what if it is a 7" rim and you can get it in either a +10mm or a -47mm which one would you need so not to have to get spacers

Re: Wheel Offset

I'm not familiar with this way of specifying the offset. I assume zero is a centered mounting hub (4+4 for an 8" rim) and so a negative offset to mean narrower...so that's not what you need. And 10mm of offset isn't enough to even bother mentioning...

Re: Wheel Offset

a +10 is 10mm from center towards outside which is close to a 4+3
and a -47 is more like a 2+5.......not exact numbers but if you wand exact figure 25.4mm per inch x7 inch wheel....then go to center and positive towards front and negative towards rear.......the auto industry uses this method (metric) hope this helps oh and remember that a 7' wheel or any other measurement is bead to bead and does not include lip which on a beadlock itp for example a 4+3 is actually a 4+3.5 when you add the beadlock......and so on
