Looking For Good A/T Tire
I'm looking for a good all terrain tire since i mainly ride in wooded areas that also turn into rockey areas and to top it off since i have a winch on order so i'm also going to be going into some mud holes now lol. As well as an extream 3in lift. If there is a tire that is highley recommended that would be much appriciated.
The only tires that i'm eyeing right now is the swamplites seen being used by cedar bayou boys on youtube or mudlites XXL.

Re: Looking For Good A/T Tire
I recommend checking out the dominator at Super ATV.com - Home. I am running the 30x10-14 on my rzr and I love them. They are pretty well the same tread design as the big horns and are only 2lbs heavier than the mud lites. They are 6 ply tires so you don't have to worry about tearing them up on rocks. I have only had these on for 1 month so I can't say how they wear but as far as a good all around tire these are the best I have found. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Re: Looking For Good A/T Tire
Been using Terra Cross for a few months, all trail riding, very happy with them. I would go with Big Horns or Terra Cross.

Re: Looking For Good A/T Tire
I love my Swamp Lites. I run 7 lbs in each and they ride nice and smooth on hard pack and they do great in the mud. With the deep lugs (1 1/2" on the 29.5's) they grab and climb really well too.

Re: Looking For Good A/T Tire
Can't believe there's not more people singing the praises of bighorns, the ultimate all terrain tyre from what I gather.
EDIT: okay, two peeps have just shouted them out in the last few minutes
The mudlites, swamplites, mudzillas etc. are all better mud tyres, but inferior on rocks and timber. I couldn't justify them because although it's very wet here and I will often encounter deep water and plenty of mud, the situations where it's so gooey I need a mud pattern are few and far between.
The other thing about bighorns is that they're at the top end of durability. The Dominators look interesting, essentially a larger bighorn copy just going on sight alone. I wonder who actually makes them and if they really do match the bighorns?

Don't forget you can get the Bighorn 2.0 - which is exactly the same but lighter via smaller tread blocks - kind of sits halfway between the Bighorn and Ceros.

Re: Looking For Good A/T Tire
I have tore 2 sidewalls out of my bighorns... I dont think that 8 lbs is enough. Rocks aren't friends with them.

Re: Looking For Good A/T Tire
There was a thread about bighorn PSI recently! Everybody seems to run 10-15PSI on them, but they sound like particulary evil rocks where you are!
