Too Big For Plowing?

So our RZR has 31" Mud Lites and we plan on plowing what little snow we get down here in Tulsa. Are they too big/aggressive for plowing? Wouldn't tires with better floatation do better?

And I know it's in the tires section but this is just a small afterthought: After 1700 miles on the stock 08 intake and it runs fine, leave it well enough alone? Must be working, right?

Tires CAN play a major role in plowing, but in many ways. First off the size, if you're running 31s how far to the side can you turn your plow, it's just like adding tracks, the more it sticks out the bigger the issue, for tracks you need an extension just to mount it.. I notice it doesn't matter what tread you use as long as you have chains, but I live in Alaska on a mountain with ice pack underneath, I'm sure you will do fine with any all terrain tire, even the e31s if your pushing strait..I don't know how much or how thick of snow your pushing but if it just can't get traction and push the snow, you're going to have to judge whether it's actually the tread or the surface causing the issues, I run Executioners. One step down from Silverbacks.. It's a bumpy ride, not much rubber on the road...I can't imagine the silverbacks... It you can add chains nothing will stop you.. That's all I can offer w/o knowing you exact circumstances.

Oh the plow is wide enough to plow a wide enough track for the tires. If your Executioners get enough traction to plow in Alaska..so pretty much anything will work in this OK snow. haha

hello fellow tulsan, typically the more biting edges the better. Diameter should only help you, not hurt you. As far as the stock intake deal...its your call. In super dusty conditions I get some super fine stuff past the UMP so ???? My next step is to snorkle it for the simple reason of less dust in the intake.
