I have narrowed my choices down to Bighorns 26x11 on rear and 26x9 on front. But I am very confused on 12 or 14 inch rims. I have read as many posts as I can regarding rim size. I have read that the 14 are more prone to get flats because of smaller side wall to even making the rzr tip easier for some reason. Some have said the 12 are a more versatile tire for all riding. But in almost every post I see the pictures of all your rzrs with 14 inch rims. Can somebody help me with the right answer regarding 12 or 14's.

I have both and prefer the feel of wide offset 14'' wheels for short course racing. For dessert racing 12'' are better for reasons you stated.

The wide offset 14'' feel so good in the corners. Mine are SRT Beadlocks.

I got my 14" 108's and 26" Bighorns yesterday. Took them for a short spin today and really like the setup. I don't do any hard core rock crawling and such, so I'm not worried about the 14" wheels being much of an issue.

Looks sweet! Now need to decide lift or not????

Are those 25'' or 26'' bighorns?

Ray has a nice wide offset wheel also. So wether you go 12 or 14, get the wide offset.

25's on 12x8's

So of course your not running 14'''s. They only just came out with a 25'' for 14'' wheel and it's the terra crosses.

Do you hit the limiter often ? Are you running ECU upgrade?

I think that 12'' wheel is good for 25'' tire and 14'' wheel is good for 26'' tire. It's close to same tire to wheel ratio.

is that a LTE exhaust? How did you get it to clear shocks?

Yes it’s the LTE we had to modify it to come out past the shocks

I tried 14" Rims with 26" tires on my Rhino. I didn't like the way the inside rear wheel would come off the ground in turns much more then with any 12" setup I've tried. I felt like I lost wheel travel as the ride was rougher even with radials due to less side wall. The setup only lasted a few rides as one of the tires was unrepairable and the rest weren't much better from all the side wall cuts. When the 14" rims came out I thought they were a great idea, but they are worthless for the way I ride.

Obviously some get away with using them, but I wouldn't get them unless I was mounting up some Silver Backs.

Wow I was just about to buy 27" XTR's on 14"Rims (now running 26" Terracross on 12"rims) you guys have me thinking I should stick with 12" rims

well for someone that plans on doing a lot of rock crawling with the 26" bighorns...what rim size would be best?

I would stay away from the 14" XTR's. My buddy had them. Once he broke the bead loose in a rut. After that the same thing happened almost every ride. From what I've read this is a common issue with the XTR's. My buddy ended up needing bead locks just to hold them on.

Definitely 12" for rock crawling.
