Has anyone got the new 27.5 growlers yet? I have a regular RZR 2010 that i would like to put the 27.5 growlers on. What i am thinking is 27.5/9/12 all the way around on stock steel front rims front and back. I have measured all the clearances around the tires and it appears that they should fit maybe with some rubbing..... Looks like it will clear the engine mount well but maybe get close on the floor board behind the front tires.
Anyone try this or have thoughts on it. I am after clearance mainly for deep snow but rocks also.
I hear ya. I have not ruled out a lift but I would like to keep the suspension to the stock angles if possible. I know that the heavier larger tires with stress the drive train quite abit and that worries me. The RZR does desperately need clearance and i have to stay as close to 50" as possible.
You can run the 27.5x9x12 with 1.5" spacers on the rear and a little hammer work on the motor mount. Or you could run the 12x6 front rims on the rear and it will clear without the spacers. You will be right at 52" with the 1.5" spacers. We are running the 27.5x9x12 Growlers all the way around. Seems to work very well.
yes, on standard rzr. They are le models but the offset on the stock steel wheels should be the same. Only rubbing on front is very slight against the "firewall". It is very slight rubbing just in certain situations.
Do you happen to have pics of the 27.5's on there? The LE shocks are the same as the standard RZR correct just colored springs? Where do you have them dialed in at?
I sure thought the 27's would work have you measured the actual height the tires are mounted? Do you have 9's or 11's on your backs? Has there been any draw backs from putting the 27's on?
Thanks again for the info and help!
They will measure pretty true to there size. Running 9" on front and back. If you are going to run 11" on back you will have to run a different offset wheel or much larger spacer. Only drawback might be the larger tires rob a little bit of power. But to me the ground clearance, ride and performance of the Pit Bull out way the slight power loss.
perfect thats what i was hoping to hear. So do you run the 9" wides on the wider rear rims on the back of yours?
I picked up 2 steel front 12x7 rims today - for free much less and plan on ordering 27.5/9 for all corners
Got my 27.5/9/12 growlers last week and hit the mountains over the weekend. The robbed some power no doubt but nothing i cannot live with. My test will be in deep snow this winter. They do rub on the front floor pan/wheel well but only with a passenger. I have the suspension on the 2nd notch from softest setting. I think i rubbed the engine mount once all weekend. We rode 170 miles in 3 days. Lots of boulder covered roads but lots of gravel roads too.
