Crusher Wheels

I picked up my RZR yesterday and had them put on the 14 inch Crusher wheels. Well the offset on the darn things puts them at 55 inches wide at the rear! Not to happy about that. The salesmans machine has the 14 inch ATV wheels and it only sets at 52 inches. That is why I made my decision. Then I found out he had to grind off a motor mount to make them fit. You can still see where the tire hit the mount at times. What does anyone else have for wheels and what is your tread width? Would replacing the 8's in back with 7's like the front make much difference?

Re: Crusher Wheels

Is it the overall width you don't like? Or the offset of the wheels?

Re: Crusher Wheels

I don't like the overall width. Not sure how much mud will sling up into the cab. There are some places that I can barely fit with our 700 and 800 Polaris's. I am afraid I wont be able to get through some of those ATV "gates". The wheels look GREAT! Probably will just take our stock wheels and tires with us when we go to the Paiute Trail or other pure ATV trails.

Re: Crusher Wheels

I noticed the same thing when I put my Crushers on as well so I kept my stockers just in case too. I swap them off when I am going to ride somewhere where it is really rocky so the aluminum ones don't get all beat up.

Re: Crusher Wheels

JD, how well do the fenders keep mud out of the cab with the Crushers installed? Not that I am opposed to getting a little dirty but we will use the RZR for personal transportation when in states that allow them on the road. Our old prior to 94 Polaris's were the worst for throwing the trail up at you. Dont need that again.

Re: Crusher Wheels

My wife got a face full of mud with the stockers on I don't know that there is really a difference between the two. Any tire-wheel combo will throw mud if you are turning one direction or another. I would have to guess that the crushers would throw mud a little worse because of them being a little wider but it has not been an issue with me. I just drive a little slower when I first come out of a mud hole or creek to keep from throwing water or mud on whomever is on the outside of a turn.
