Who agrees that polaris screwed up with that engine mount?

Who agrees that polaris screwed up with that engine mount?

Does anyone know if the newer gens will eventually move that engine mount?

they might, but i would be surprised if they did. they didnt screw it up, the rzr is not designed for huge tires, it's us that do that.. the mount works fine for what it was designed for.

That's true but it's so close to the stock tires--and any others installed at the dealers--that they should have located it 1 lousy inch forward. Wouldn't have cost them a cent.
Before I bought a set of the Polaris aluminum rims I put my well-worn set with Polaris PXT tires (26x11x12) on to check the fit. Very close:


Brand new tires might touch. Surely during development Polaris tried these stock Sportsman rims & tires and saw the potential for problems. I'm not complaining--they pulled off an impressive feat to cram that large a cockpit and decent-travel suspension in a 50" wide chassis. Compromises had to be made.
