Tyre Outer Size - Quick Question

Just a quickie, what's the outer diameter of a fairly stock wheel and tyre set up? I'm trying to work out a couple of things while I wait for delivery, and one of them is using the spare wheel as a place to also pack one of those pop up tents.

Re: Tyre Outer Size - Quick Question

Are you going to pack your lunch in the right front tire?

LOL...I hope you mean you want to strap the tent TO the tire--not actually store it inside??

Re: Tyre Outer Size - Quick Question

I was thinking about one of these

which packs up to a disc like this

So you can see that it'd be perfect to strap onto the spare, assuming they're similar sizes.

Re: Tyre Outer Size - Quick Question

thanks, that's great and it means the 2 person tent I've got will just cover the wheel and tyre, so I can make up a combined cover and tent holder.
