Suggestions on wheel/tire Setup?

I am thinking about running at least 28" tires. So what do I need to do this? I don't really want wheel spacers and read something about a guy using offset rims (5/3 maybe?) to clear the rear motor mount? What type of lift is needed? Do I need a clutch kit? Will the stock axles hold up? My RZR is currently bone stock but I am ready to upgrade. Thanks for any help or suggestions..

You will definitly need to clutch it to handle the tires. I am running 27" tires and it made everything totally different. It is tight on the exhaust on the right rear side, I think that is the biggest problem.....other than that there is plenty of room. I have a +4" Dragonfire Racing Suspension Kit on mine, but I ran the larger tires before that. You will need to run the offset wheels or wheel spacers, I am running the Polaris Rock Crusher wheels and they clear with no problem. A 2" lift kit may be up your alley-I just don't like to up the center of gravity with my driving style!!!

I don't know about the offset you mentioned, that is the first I've heard of it but from everything I've read you need at least 1 inch spacers to clear the rear engine mount! Get a highlifter 2inch lift, run your stock axles till they break and get gorillas.... Although I haven't heard of anyone breaking axles even running 29.5's! If your gonna lift and get bigger tires always get a clutch kit imo! The Epi one should you just fine!

Re: Suggestions on wheel/tire Setup?

I just put 27 inch mud lites and 14 inch itp 212 wheels on mine and had crank the shocks all the way up to stop the front tire from rubbing when turning. I also tried a set of 28's can't be done without lift and possibly spacer's. Also with the 27's I lost almost no bottom end will still break them loose on pavement but takes longer to get to top speed.
