rim screws aka: "poorman's beadlocks"

I've run rim screws in drag cars before to keep the bead seated at very low pressures, but has anyone tried it on a RZR (or any quad/utv) yet? I'm planning on making a Pismo Beach trip in the near future and will be running the stock wheels/tires. Is there enough material at the bead (both tire and wheel) to get a screw in there? I suppose I could always get one broken down and look at it myself, but if someone's already tried, it'd save the hassle.
