Laughing Swamp Lites?

Has anyone tried the new swamp lites? They look awsome. Im trying to get set up for my new rzr, when oregon gets one in!!! lol I just want to find a set of tires that would be good in sand, trails, and some mud. Any ideas?

Re: Swamp Lites?

MUD LITES ARE THE BEST. 150bobo runs swamplites and he was at the kentucky ride with me and he poked a hole in the side wall. my mud lites held up great. Im sure he will tell you weight was a factor. and it was he was driving an xp ranger. but i have had great luck with mud lites.

Re: Swamp Lites?

You can hole ANY tire in Evarts! You hit any of those sharp edge rocks wrong and it is history. Never had muck luck with mud lites....bighorns seem to serve me well though.
To the original question though I can't help. I have never used the swamplites

Re: Swamp Lites?

mud lites aren't worth the hype IMO. they're alright. i have some swamp lites on my stock wheels and they're pretty decent. dunno how they do on sand though. my mst's do pretty decent in mud for a non-hardcore mud tire. i make it through as much with my 28" mst's as a guy that came and rode with us in his rzr on 30" mud lites. even had a harder time than i did in a couple spots. gonna try em on some rocks for a 10 day riding trip and see how they do there.

You know swamplites looked appealing to me also, but cant say and dont know about them, but followed my gut and went with bighorns and so glad that I did because they are awesome.

Re: Swamp Lites?

I just installed a set of ss106 alloys and some 31 inch outlaws there great in mud not so great in sand. Before i ran 28 inch mudlites on stock rims, they did alright but don,t even come close to the outlaws
Here is some pics.

Re: Swamp Lites?

I have 27" Swamplites on 14" SS112 rims and love them.

As for sand they do well, but be careful - they dig

I have had them just about on every terrain so far and have no complaints yet. I only have about 25 miles on them so far though from Badlands.

I have a 5 day trip to Hatfield McCoy over Memorial Day weekend so I should get a better feel.

Re: Swamp Lites?

I bought a set of ITP 14" 212's with 27" swamplites. I like them so far. The 9" in the front make for easy steering. And the price was about $70
a tire! I have a set of 28" swamp foxes on my sportsman and I have tried them on my rzr but they rub a little on the front. A friend has the swamp lites like mine and so far he has no complaints. They aren't the best mudding tire. But the price makes up for it to me. I think the tire and wheel set cost me $690 (tax and shipping) with the centers and lug nuts.

Pete
