12" vs 14" Wheels & 26" vs 27" Tires

I currently own a 700 Ranger that I bought for farm work in the midwest. Since I find myself "playing" more than working with it these days I've decided to purchase a RZR strictly for play and maybe some hunting. Most of my riding will be trails, mud and some travel on gravel and occassionally sand along the river. I like the Swamplite tires for mud and climbing. I have them on both my 700 and my Brute Force.

I am looking for advice or opinions (as the case may be) on whether I should run 12" or 14" alloy wheels on the RZR and whether I should go to 26" tires or step up to 27". Am I going to see much difference in power and what other advantages/disadvantages will I see based on these options other than aesthetic? I've consider a 2" lift but think I'll wait to see how things go without the lift first.

first a 12 in will ride smother and have a better foot print a 14 with its shorter side wall will ride stiffer but some tires only come in 12 or 14 so think about that as to 26 in vs 27 0r more you will lose some power but not alot also 12 in vs 14 12's have less unsprung weight

The 14" should hadle better in the corners because of less sidewall flex, especially at speeds. The 12" are less likely to get the sidewall pinched between the ground and the wheel. I went with the 14" just because they look better.

Right now I have some 12's with 25" tires and I just ordered 14" ITP beadlocks with 26" tires so I will soon see what kind of difference there is. I know I like the looks of the 14's.
