Trail,mud And Snow

I know it feels like all these comparisons have been beat to death, but I've narrowed it down to these 4 tires (XTR's, Terrocross, Swamplites, and Bighorns). I had XTR's on previous 4wheeler but just sold wheels/tires so now I'm open to new choices. My riding is mostly trails with dirt and some rocks, some mud on occasion and snow when we get it and need to plow. Thanks to all

Bighorns are a great all around tire.

Re: Trail,mud And Snow

I have had swamplites and they don't last and now I'm running the XTR's but Big Horns was my first choice but I could not get the size I wanted unless I went to 14" and I wanted 12".

Re: Trail,mud And Snow

Thanks for the replys. I had the xtr's but think they might be alittle to aggressive(bumpy) at slow speed other than that they will go anywhere you point them. Do you all think the Bighorns will be ok in the snow and will the clean themselves in the mud?

Re: Trail,mud And Snow

I've had Bighorn's on mine since last week....rode about 8 or 10 hours on muddy roads and trails without any problems....the wheels were usually cleaner than the rest of the RZR, since the puddles washed the big chunks off

Re: Trail,mud And Snow

1idrod you cant have your cake and eat it to. if you do enough mud and snow than go with a mud tire. if you do alot of hardpack and rock than buy bighorns. the mud tire wont last as long on hard pack. And a bighorn or all-terrain tire wont perform well in deep mud snow or sand. I ride all type's of trails and i picked a tire that would be good for all of them. do to the fact that i like deep mud i went with a mud tire. I also like as much HP as i can get so i went with a light mud tire. mudlights have never failed me in the pass and i had a kfx700 for three years and never wore the tires out. in fact when i traded it in the dealer said nice set of tires. Thay still had most of there tread. This is about 3500 miles of trail riding. I do have to say that the roof on rzr makes a little noise when im rolling slow do to the tires. And i will put weather striping under it. like i say you cant have your cake and eat it to. just pay attention to your wants and pull the triger.

Re: Trail,mud And Snow

Thanks again, I know about the cake but damn it sucks. Here we actually have 4 seasons and all different types of riding except sand. I just want to make sure that when I do pull the trigger it's not pointed at me. Sorry to keep, but I do like hearing all suggestions from everyone. Thanks and keepm cumn.

Re: Trail,mud And Snow

I live in wet Western Washington and I have had good results with Highlifter MSTs as an all around trail tire. If I lived in a dryer climate I would have chosen Bighorns.

Re: Trail,mud And Snow

Are you trying to stay at stock width? Your tire choices get really limited if you need to keep at 50".

Re: Trail,mud And Snow

I'm not worried about stock width. If I go to a place where thats required I'll put stockers back on.
