Rugged Race Products RRP150 2 Place Intercom!

Hey guys! I have this somewhere else on the board, but just saw the cool vendor only section so I figured Id throw it up.

I went ahead and decided to throw one of our Sand Sports Super Show specials up a bit early to member who wont be able to make the show in Orange County next month.

Introducing the new RRP150 2 Place Portable Intercom, designed with the RZR in mind!

This is a 2 place intercom unit fully contained in a portable housing that runs off a single 9V battery and has a beltclip on the back! This is PERFECT for your 2 seat Rzr - no installation or mounting of an intercom!

This is a live microphone intercom, no voice activation. Mics are always on! Music is controlled with a toggle switch on the face of the intercom. Has a beltclip on the back of the intercom housing to clip to a radio box, on a seatbelt/harness, on your belt, etc.

Ive got a kit put together that is everything you need to communicate between yourself and your passenger, as well as listen to music, without breakin the bank!

Rugged Race Products RRP150 Intercom

2 of our H43 behind the head headsets, now NEW AND IMPROVED with a volume control so each person has individual control.

2 6 foot coil cords to go between your headset and the intercom

Music cable to plug your iPod or other music device into the intercom.

All at the introductory price of $399!

Want to communicate with your other buddies in Rzrs, other UTVs, Sandrails, quads, dirtbikes, wife back at camp, etc?

I can do an economical package for that too! Car to car kit for this intercom is:

Blackbox VHF 16 channel radio pre programmed for off road frequencies.
Cable to connect radio to intercom
1 Velcro mount push to talk

$199 for the car to car package!

Don't let anyone tell you intercom/radio setups are too expensive. BE SAFE - COMMUNICATE!

Re: Rugged Race Products RRP150 2 Place Intercom!

I own this system(intercom and car to car) and it is awesome for a portable system. I recently did a night ride in box canyon with 20 other cars and my passenger and I were able to talk to one another at a near whisper all night.

I was initially concerned about the hot mikes and background noise. However, I can say it isn't an issue. You do get some ambient sound but it isn't overpowering. I'm in the military and wear Peltors a lot so the best way I can describe it is similar to the way it sounds when you're wearing Peltors. However, when ever someone talks the voice clarity is superb and you can actually talk very softly and carry on a conversation. So far I am very happy with it and with the service I received from Greg when I placed my order. Matt, thanks for answering all my questions here on the forum and making a great product.

X2 and I would also like to know if your system can plug into a Garmin Rhino 110 or other family service radio.

Re: Rugged Race Products RRP150 2 Place Intercom!

I can do helmet kits instead of headsets at no additional charge for you!

And yes, we can hook this system up to a Rhino or any other FRS radio - we have cables for practically any radio! Youd be looking at about $30-$50 depending on the cable.

Helmet kits dont have separate volume controls - each are based off the intercom volume knob. Music however sounds great! Same system I wear in my streetbike helmet for riding at high speed with loud exhaust... no complaints!

Thanks

Re: Rugged Race Products RRP150 2 Place Intercom!

A 4 person setup would be with our RRP600 intercom. 4 place would be $819. Thanks!

Re: Rugged Race Products RRP150 2 Place Intercom!

The one posted above is our 2 place in car RRP150 Intercom. It is on sale right now with 2 headsets and 2 cables for $399.

The system I quoted above was our RRP600 because he wanted a 4 place setup, which the RRP150 cannot do.

Re: Rugged Race Products RRP150 2 Place Intercom!

So how do you switch between music, and talking?

Do you have to flip that switch on the box? Is it one-or-the-other, or can you have music at a low volume, and talking on top of it?

Re: Rugged Race Products RRP150 2 Place Intercom!

Exactly.... when I ride with it I usually use the music at about half volume and then the volume full so you hear the music no problem but the voice is overpowering.
