Re: 4800 Mile UTV Ride Across America .......

Very interested in your journey, I have a KTM 525 and have been interested in doing this trip for some time. How do plan on doing this without plates? I know most of the ride is desolate but some sections require to ride on tarmec.
I would love to do it in my RZR maybe start with the ARK section. I have also been following this guys site for a couple of years and he has some nice write ups about it. Are you going to start a website so we can follow your journey? Awesome man cant wait!!

Johnny, this sounds like a great trip! My initial thoughts are no way I can't afford that. Butt the more I think about it?? I need a week or 2 to decide for sure and will let you know. I have an 08 rzr with 2500 miles on it now. Very well maintained and covered UTV Inc add ons.

Re: 4800 Mile UTV Ride Across America .......

Johnny I would recommend looking into this Spot personal tracking system. My buddy and me have been looking into doing it on a KLR. If you were doing it a few weeks later I might have been able to join you so if you have to delay your plans keep me in mind.

Re: 4800 Mile UTV Ride Across America .......

Johnny! too cool! I've followed many threads on dif forums of people running the TAT. Are Arizona plates on a UTV gonna be accepted by cops out east? probably depends upon the individual officer, how well can you talk... Good luck this is too cool so wish I could do it!

Can't wait to follow along on this adventure. There's no way I could that much time off from work. If I could, I'd love to do this.
