Re: RZR Performance Upgrades
and I cant stand the lte pipes they are so loud they take the fun out of riding I guess Im getting to old one of the reason we tried the two borthers single is its what polaris is running on their other rzr with the two brother fuel controller and the guy racing is smoking everybody and he has a passenger racing with him of course he has head work, cam, ect but I dont like getting in my motors I want my crap running all the time plus if it was to break and I had to pull the motor then I would have to strip the whole chassis and have It powdercoated, Polish the motor and diffs and I dont have the time with all the rzr long travel kits we are doing ...I need a shop helper ............

Re: RZR Performance Upgrades
johnnycat i talk with dynatech today and thay said thay will have one in less than 30 days. I think your at the point of needing a higher rev limiter. from what i can see i dont think any of the cdi box's will give you alot of change do to timing advance. I think the rzr is advanced from the factory. If you look at peak torq puting a cdi box on is like doing a head pipe. not much gain but better than nothing. I think if mac from mpi could get alot out of this box he would. dynatech said non-prograble for $299 and programable for $349. most cdi box's give you big gains. maybe dynatech has found something but i wont hold my breth. wish thay offerd a rev limiter upgrade for $99. also i think the epi belt is shorter and this changed your gear ratio. how fast are you going when you hit rev limiter whith epi belt installed.

You need to add weights on your clutch. I have a super tip adjustable clutch so I can add or remove weight to me existing clutch arms. The weights in my kit are washers that you can put on or take off of arms inside clutch. If I add one washer to each of the 3 arms I come down 200 rpm, if I take off one washer off of each arm I go up 200rpm. You need to get slightly heavier weights so you come down a little in rpm.
You doing the right test for clutch settings (full throttle take off on pavement). When people talk about what rpm they are clutched too that is what they mean. When you do your full throtle take off on pavement, you want it to clutch to 5900-6000rpm, You don't want it bouncing off of the rev limiter until you reach top speed. You get a little bit heavier weights to bring rpm down and little lighter to bring rpm up.

Re: RZR Performance Upgrades
Johnny,
Your clutch kits mention 0-3.000' elevation?
Live in So. Cal High Desert Area actually Wrightwood at 6,000' !
RZR engine and tire's still stock but looking at exhaust mod and MPI?
As descriped also seems to be the most bang for little bucks!
Mostly open desert riding with some dunes...dumont, coral pink!
Which kit do you suggest?

You aren't the only one! Most of the guys making exhaust for UTVs just fall into the mold of what is good for ATVs must be good for UTVs.
The difference is on an ATV, you have a helmet which muffles some of the noise. And you aren't trying to talk with you passenger on an ATV like you do in a UTV.
