Illinois DNR Sticker

Can these be put anywhere on the vehicle?
Also, how big are they? I was going to make a bracket to place it on in order to keep it off my plastics.

Re: Illinois DNR Sticker

I believe they need to be on the front portion of the vehicle? Been a couple years since I've had one. It will say when you get it. Size is about 3" square. last one I had I put above speedometer on dash. XP's great isn't it.

Re: Illinois DNR Sticker

yes, they are about 3" square. I put my registration stickers on the passenger side inner front fender well/fire wall. That way if you trash your fenders, you won't loose the sticker when you replace it.

I specialize in APEX and Z1 conversion kits for the 800. Z1 kits for the 900xp, XP1000, and 1k Turbo. We have a Z1 waterproof belt cover too.

Re: Illinois DNR Sticker

Thanks for the info, I might make a 3x3 plate them to mount to my rollcage. Honestly don't want this thing on my XP after I'm done riding on the public property in IL

Only need it for the places that DNR funds from my understanding. Private property never will have such a thing.

It's my understanding that this is required by all OHV's when ridden or driven anywhere except your own private party. They used to be for state funded areas but the law changed July 1

Re: Illinois DNR Sticker

As far as im concerned this sticker allows me to ride on any road thats not a highway. Thats the way a cop told me it works for snowmobiles since they are registered with the state and pay for a sticker. . . Ill let u know how this works out for me, haha

Re: Illinois DNR Sticker

Can anyone find a direct link to the IDNR site, that this law is posted. Looked all over for it last night, but can't find anything within the IDNR.

The way it is stated in the link above, it looks like having the sticker allows you to ride on any state owned property. If this is the case, all state parks, state forestry lands, hunting areas, etc. have been opened up to OHV usage.

The only SB1566, I could find, is a liquor control act.

Re: Illinois DNR Sticker

I live here and they aren't very power sport friendly in this state, they'll take all your money but then build Trail system for horses or bikes, witch do not contribute to nothing.
