Flat Bed Trailer Ideas

Looking at options for loading configurations on flat bed trailers for two RZRs and what works. Been thinking of an 8'w x 14'l loaded side by side (load from side of trailer) or end to end on a 8'w x ? trailer. Any experiences or preferences on trailer sizes or loading arrangements?

Re: Flat Bed Trailer Ideas

im in the same boat as you. i have a standerd 83" wide 16ft trailer and if you do some real brainstorming i can fit my rzr and my ranger but its not safe to tow any distance. so at least an 18ft is needed to fit two strait on.

as for the 102" wide im not to sure but im hoping i could do the same and get a smaller trailer and put them on sideways cuz an 18ft trailer is heavy and requires trailer brakes most of the time.

let me know what you end up going with

Brad

Re: Flat Bed Trailer Ideas

8' wide bed + tires & fenders? I think that's over the legal limit. Maybe a high deck trailer like snowmobile? You don't plan to put bumpers on the Rzrs I hope! It might fit that way but personally I'd always be paranoid towing it. I have a 7X18 with drop ramp and it's the absolute minimum. The front machine is ratcheted down to a loop I installed on the jack mounting plate. The front tires touch the railing. I use chains that criss-cross under the Rzrs to anchor the rear of the front one and front of the rear one. Back one gets a very short ratchet hooked to an anchor right at the end of the decking. Less than a foot between the ramp & the tailpipe. I thought when I ordered the trailer that there'd be more space but I didn't take some things into account.

Even though it's a standard width trailer it's still white-knuckles going through road construction.

Re: Flat Bed Trailer Ideas

This works on a 8x16 for a RZR and a rhino, so it will work for 2 RZR's
