Polaris Trailering Cover
Bought the RZR 4 months ago, I took it home (3 hrs. ride), and by the time I got home the new shine on the plastics was gone because of the rubbing against the cover !!
The dealer was inquiring with polaris about it and I just got their answer (after 4 months), they said that I installed wrong ...
How many ways can you install a cover ! !
Has anybody else have this problem, any help will be appreciate it !!
Thanks!

Re: Polaris Trailering Cover
Sadly, yes, it is a trailering cover, as I got home I was asking my self the same question and as I read the description in the polaris webpage it describes it as a trailering cover, and by the way, "easy to install" ! !, good thing that also helps against fading !, my RZR looks really old without the shine, anyways ... what can you do !

Re: Polaris Trailering Cover
Before I bought my trailering cover I used to keep a tarp over my RZR, it thrashed the finish, it made the hood look like it had slid down a mountainside. It is because of the plastic, the surface seems to be very fragile and mars VERY easily, so your cover will be like steel wool to the finish when the wind makes it move around. Your dealer was probably unaware that would happen to the plastic. I wish I knew the finish was so fragile, I would have left it uncovered.
I love the trailering cover, but it can be abrasive to the finish, mine is already ruined so I don't stress over it. Sorry that yours is too.

Re: Polaris Trailering Cover
That sucks. Now you know, it doesn't matter what kind of cover it is, if your hauling ass on the freeway, it's gonna rub and beat on the side of your toy. I see people do it all the time with boats.

Re: Polaris Trailering Cover
I can't imagine any type of cover that wouldn't dull the finish flapping at 55 mph.

Re: Polaris Trailering Cover
I know it might sound weird.... But my dealer suggested to me that I just wrap the front and side with industrial saran wrap before long hauls on an open trailer. he even gave me a roll thats got to be 18" x 200'

Re: Polaris Trailering Cover
Yep. Same thing happened on mine. I had to convince myself: Just like when buying a new car.
Park it in the far corner of the walmart parking lot-OR- hit it once with a ball peen hammer.
Either way it hurts for a little while, then, oh well, it's time to wrap those trees on the trail.
