My Razor is two big for my F350

I wonder if any body has hauled ther Razor short distances with a tow dolly.
My scenario is my Razor is two wide two go in the bed of my pickup and my toy hauler is going to be parked about 6 Miles from where we ride. I was thinking a tow bar or tow dolly but did not know if anyone else has had a problem like this and tried either of these approaches. I think I could get the tow dolly into the back of the pickup (450 lbs ) and then once we get ther remove it and haul the toys to where we ride.

Re: My Razor is two big for my F350

Try strapping the front hubs together after you jacked it up in front.. I have a +6 kit on mine with wide bighorns and I can get it in a short bed.

I fit mine in with a +6 kit without pulling the arms together(although it helps)

Re: My Razor is two big for my F350

so what you are saying is to jack up the front end to clear the two pillars at the tailgate by lashing the a-arms while they our hanging in the air? Is there a certain point on the A-arms you like to do this at. By the way this is a great idea and I think it will work, The wheels still turn freely so you can drive it up the ramps right.

Re: My Razor is two big for my F350

Yes, tie strap the arms underneath when it is jacked up so it will still drive. I do it all the time traveling to races so I dont have to use a trailer, I also just back it in and let the bed push the wheels in.

Just watch out for your bumper hitting the window. I remove my rear bumper so that the tires hit the bed before anything else

Re: My Razor is two big for my F350

also reinforce the tailgate cables. a lot of tailgate cables have broken and the tailgate crashes down into the bumper leaving you with lots of damage...

Re: My Razor is two big for my F350

I have not reinforced my cables at all and have not had any problems. I back mine in so that the motor weight is not on the tailgate.

Re: My Razor is two big for my F350

I agree with the tail gate problems. I was loading mine in the bed of my truck and had the ramps secured with the little straps that come with them. I had to gas it to get the front wheels over the wheel wells. The right strap broke, the RZR fell on the tail gate bending the crap out of it. Ended up having to buy another tailgate. If I ever try it again I will use a stronger strap.

Best I remember, BigMike told me they would hold as I was going to ride with him so I think he should pay for the damage. Or, at least thats the way I remember it....................

I use the steel bars from DG Manufacturing and the work great. Have traveled over 1200 miles with them.

Re: My Razor is two big for my F350

I haul my rzr in the back of my 2007 F150 with no trouble at all. I drive straight in with the motor over the tailgate. I have a front bumper that comes close to taking out my back window and so I bought the back rack for my truck so now the bumper just comes up tight to the back rack and everything is fine. As for the tailgate issues I use two 2" x 8" wood planks cut to reach from the front of my box to the end of the tailgate. This makes all 4 tires of the rzr be on the planks while traveling. It distributes some of the weight from the tailgate into the bed. Seems to work fine. I've traveled probably close to 1,000 miles like this so far.
