Never had a singe flat on my 36ft 5th wheel in over two years.Had 2 blowouts this weekend,one coming one going.Both on the center axle. Air psi was 65 cold. Pay load was apox. 3000# Any ideas?

Check the alignment of your axles. The easiest way to do this by taking a long straight edge and hold on the side of the wheels. If you you have gap you need to get your axles aligned.

Had this happen on a Dunes toybox, two blew and two bubbled.

I had same thing happen to me! My 2 year old tires were dry rotted so i was kinda expecting it to happed sooner or later

Shredded two tires with less then 500 miles. The valve stems were bad, replaced all my stems good to go so far. Found this when checking my pressures. The stems were basicly dry rotted on my new toy hauler.

When buying new tires switch out to the Michelin XPS Rib tires and never have a blowout problem again...

First off understand most trailers come with "TRAILER TIRES" speed rated at 65mph and usually 4 ply.
I only use TRUCK TIRES on my trailer 10 ply rating E range rated at 90mph. I will cruise at 75-80m if able and still average 3 tires on a trip from Portland OR to Las Cruses NM and back, sidetracking in AZ and UT and soon CO with the adult kid moving there. I check pressure every day before starting out and do not run at night any longer to be able to monitor tires in the mirrors. I use three per side one specifically aimed for tire watching. Sometimes it is just plain bad luck, last trip we stopped for lunch just south of ID and 30 miles after getting back on the road we had a tire blow, something in the parking area I suppose. Other times just plain heat, my tires were at 80psi when we started out in Northern Cali but by the time we were into AZ at 107 degrees at 75mph it was just too much for that right rear tire and it gave it up the base pressure was to high for the ambient temperatures, things you learn eh. Another issue to be aware of is leaf spring hangers breaking away, this has happened to us twice both times costing us tires as well as suspension repairs. The first time between Paige AZ and Kanab UT at 70 mph, the second a year later coming home from Dunefest on the OR coast. Many trailer builders use this same basic frame for the models they market. I was able to get the welding dept at the college I work at to beef the shiot out of all my hangers and now am confident in their durability. Additionally I upgraded my shocks to Magnum gas and changed the leaf spring pins out with greasable pins with bronze bushings and the center link a type with a shock absorbing feature.
We have over 47k on our 02 toyhauler and have no plans to change it out for an upgrade as what is on the market does not come close to what we have made right with this one.
The floor plan on the Desert Fox 28ftKS front bed is great and nothing else on the market compares.
I am on my third tow receiver hitch, now a super hitch and second sway bar setup. If you play you pay, just figure it a cost of doing the business of fun. In the past we would haul 3 Sportsmans and a Predator, now 2 Sportsmans and the RZR, just a change up in the fun factor. Another thing, truck steel valve stems are a good idea. I am planning to have the welding dept add another spare tire mount to our trailer under carriage for a second spare tire.

WOW That's a truck load of tires!!! I guess that I should feel lucky, only one blow out and two bearings in all the years of towing that I've done. I do feel that weight is the tires worst enemy.

These will cure all of your tire & wheel problems: END of STORY I have over 100k miles of just pulling Toyhaulers...Also check wheel bearing play as loose wheel bearings will allow the tires to "hunt" while going down all of our "beautiful" highways...

And I would go with 17.5" Load Range H Tires if possible...or at minimum Load Range G but I would never buy the Goodyear RST 614 Load Range G...
I use the 17.5" on my RV and no more problems guys they are actually a little smaller than the 16" Tires in diameter and width, but are designed for OTR trailering Southwest Wheels can hook you up with them also...
Just a note I had several cheaper Aluminum Rims crack and allow the tire to lose pressure then blow out...they replaced the rims with the same?...BUY Alcoa's and be done with your problems...

Dry rot. check the tire side walls, & tread for small cracks. if stored outside with tires uncovered, dry rot is accelerated, had a blow on my 40ft ww first trip out last summer, middle tire blew took out front tire...had to learn that lesson the hard way...

Yep Dry Rot. Bought my Toy Hauler new. Got her home, after a month (about 3 trips) discovered one flat and the other 3 tires were all cracked bad. Any ways went out and bought 5 new 10ply tires. I keep my tires covered when the the trailer is parked now.
